Might be a dumb question: About resort reserving and park tickets...

Can I purchase my park tickets at a different time (after) I book my hotel? I'll be staying at AoA. And we'll be getting 2-Day passes with park hopper. So is there any benefit to booking all together? Or can i just book them whenever? or what?!

No benefit with booking them together. Unless you want to do the dining plan, you can just book a room only and buy your tickets whenever. I purchased mine from Undercover Tourist, and friends from AAA. With a package, you'll leave a $200 deposit and pay the balance at 45 days. With a room only, you'll pay 1 nights stay as a deposit and I think the balance is due around 5 days before checking in. (Not to sure about that as I paid my room only balance off at 30 days.)

The Concierge at your resort can add your paper park tickets to your room key after you check in.

Agree with PP, you can def add them later. I like having everything seperated just in case I need to cancel or make changes. We have used UnderCover Tourist a few times and have always had a great experience. You can save a few bucks if you subscribe to the Mousesavers newsletters and use the secret link inside the newsletter. The newsletters come out once each month on the 15th, so there is still time to regsiter for the July edition.

Happy planning!!

As the pp's said, you don't get any kind of a break when purchasing a package vs room only and tickets separately when purchased through Disney (unless there is some kind of promo for packages). If you buy your tickets from UT, you can save a little bit. Also, just wanted to clarify that with a room only reservation, the balance is due at check in (or you can pay it off anytime prior to arrival, as the pp mentioned). Keep in mind that if you book room only now and want to change to a package later, the room only would have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new $200 deposit (or payment in full if this is done 45 days or less from arrival). Room only and packages are separate reservation systems, so money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other.

There are some advantages to booking a package, though they may not benefit you. For instance, all packages now come with two free single admission tickets to Disney Quest. That is a nice chunk of change for someone who wants to use them. There are also several other vouchers for mini golf, Splittsville, etc.
