Where can I WALK to from BLT?

Hi, which restaurants can I walk to from Bay Lake Tower? I have stayed there before, so I know I can walk to the Contemporary and eat there (duh, lol). I just don't want to on our last night. We will be hanging at the property most of the day so I'm going to want to get out of the resort. We won't have park passes that day so anything in MK is out. Thanks!!

PS, in case you are wondering, we can't take a bus or boat either. My in-laws will be with us and because of religious observance, that can't get on anything motorized.

You can walk to the MK and the Contemporary. That's it.

CR and MK are the only things in walking distance of BLT.

I don't think there is anywhere. The only options besides MK would be another resort and you can't walk to the Poly or GF from BLT.

1) As mentioned above, you can walk to no resort.
2) Unfortunately, other methods are mechanical
. . . boats
. . . buses
. . . monorails

Gosh, looks like it's going to be Contemporary and it's restaurants, Top of the World Lounge, or Magic Kingdom.

I guess it would be impolite to go do your own thing on your last night...?

Trust me, the thought crossed my mind. I had already booked ALL my dining when my MIL dropped the "I think we will join you at WDW" bomb and the "can't you just add 2 people to the reservation? What's the big deal?"

So I've been working on changing our dining around to not only add on 2 people, but to accommodate their dietary/religious needs. It has NOT been easy and I had a nervous breakdown one time with a reservation person.

Anyway, I have it almost complete except for Saturday night. Shabbos ends at 7:42 (official sundown) so they can 'ride' at that time. Another issue is that I have a 2.5 year old so eating at 8 pm is LATE for her.

Looks like we are staying in.

I'm sorry, it sounds very stressful to have to change all the ADRs and make dietary requirement additions after everything was all worked out before.

Would there be anyway that the in-laws may watch the baby while you and your spouse go have a nice dinner?

Or perhaps ask them if they would mind terribly if it would be okay for you, your spouse and child, to have a day to yourselves? AFTER ALL, they did just invite themselves at the last minute!

Maybe tell them you had reservations on Saturday where you pre-paid in advance that you can't get out of, like Hoop Dee Doo, or Back Yark BBQ?

It's difficult and draining to be with others on vacation sometimes, having to be focused on others can end up leaving you exhausted and frazzled.

Wow! You are a much better DIL than me! I would have said, "Here are our plans, we can't change them, let me know if you'll be joining us for any of them."

I'm not sure if it could be done and/or at what price but --- there are horse-drawn carriages somewhere. Maybe at SSR? Campground? Scheduling could also
be a huge problem. I'll bet they would be thrilled to let you have a date night with them babysitting unless it opens up the whole thing about not observing religious practices.

They just cannot travel on motorized vehicles from sundown Friday night through sundown Saturday night.

It is probably just that one day of the week they have to avoid it, not every day.

Perhaps you should get tickets to MK for Saturday? Spend the day there, and then come back to the Contemporary for dinner? Or just bring in pizza and some vegetarian items, or sushi (assuming in-laws will eat non-kosher food without meat)?

Depending on how long you stay an extra day on the tickets might not cost that much, so if you really want to leave the resort the MK is pretty much your only option.

Maybe instead you could have take out delivered by a local restaurant offsite?
