On the day that you return, you will call them and tell them that if they learn to do laundry and keep their rooms clean you'll come home. By this point they will be desperate and totally sick of frozen Pizza or kibble from Pet Smart or what ever it is that your husband has been feeding them and they'll be desperate for your return.

Now if your husband is one of those guys who works all the time and is allergic to child care you can drop the kids off for the week at your local Fire Station. They have laws on the books that state that all unwanted children can be turned in at the fire station with out penalty. Usually this applies to babies but they never did put an age limit on that law and when things get a little hairy with the boys here at home I have been known to throw them (AND my Husband!) in the car and do a drive by of the fire station and mention that all they would get to eat would be beans and chilli for the rest of their lives because that's all they serve at the fire station. This is usually enough to stop the bickering until one of them Googles "abandoned children and fire stations" and the jig is up on my end.

Totally stealing this idea!!!

Thank you!! It was only like $8 more for GV instead of Standard so it was a no brainer to just pick it. Glad it was a good call. Thanks!

Oh. My. Goodness! Lily is adorable! She looks like a cherub. Teena, will you be back in Florida during the week of the 21st? I was hoping to come and say hello during my stay at BC. You know, before I meet up with Johnny Depp in the hot tub. Heh.

I am DISing as I do some more packing for my trip. Four more sleeps! I am a little bummed to hear about the fridge issue at Disney resorts, but what can you do? I read a bit of the thread on the Resorts Board about it. Looks like people are going apoplectic about not having a fridge to keep their leftover desserts in. As much as I love the convenience of having the fridge in my room, I am sure Disney wouldn't remove them all without a pretty good reason. And I'm sure not going to let the lack of a fridge ruin my vacation. C'est la vie, right?
I'll be at the Beach Club 7/21 and 7/22. Looking forward to seeing you!!!

You are absolutely correct, the refrigerators would not be removed unless absolutely necessary. Do people really think Disney loves to have upset guests? Some act like Disney is doing it just to ruin their vacation. Rest assured they are doing their absolute best to get it taken care of with as little inconvenience to guests as possible.

But how will we keep our Sunken Treasure leftovers cold?

Wait, there are no leftovers!!!

Obviously Disney will try to make it as smooth as possible. I don't think anyone is thinking they did this on purpose. Safety Third is my motto!

I went ahead and added on a Styrofoam cooler from Garden grocer, and if I end up with a fridge, I'll just chalk this up to the cheapest money I ever threw away at Disney!!! DH was teasing me cause I wasn't sure if I should risk adding it on or not..................he said "...seriously??? You are worried about $8.00 when the trip cost HOW MUCH???"

I am also checking out park hours for my trip, and can you believe that AK opens at 7:00a.m. on one of the EMH days!!!!

Which day? That would be a great time to be there especially for the Kilimanjaro Safari ride....early morning is supposed to be the best time!

I'm going to pick up a styro cooler too, in case my room in Aug doesn't have a fridge . I buy juice, yogurt and other breakfast stuff for mornings, so a fridge is pretty important to us. For a 12 day stay it would add a considerable cost to have to go out for breakfast daily too.

I agree that it is not worth getting upset about, although I am disappointed I'd obviously rather everyone at Disney be safe. I'm just surprised that from what I have read they are sorting some of the values and mods first.
