You only had a certain amount of each ticket in the books. Taught kids a little bit about making choices.

Have you heard of the expression: "An E Ticket Ride." That is where it came from.

My brother and I used to save the C tickets and ride Autopia over and over. I also remember always getting more E tickets so we could ride the Matterhorn.

After the tickets went away, they went to the passports. You used to have to show your passport to get on the attractions.

What a fun thread! I remember all the things mentioned so far. I also remember the Motorboats that used to putt putt around in the far end of the submarine lagoon. I remember the beloved People Mover as a great ride to rest your feet while you wound your way in and out of Tomorrowland attractions. I remember the Welch's grape juice stand in Fantasyland where you could get a paper cup of grape juice or a frozen grape popsicle. I remember the little candy shop that used to be just inside the drawbridge entrance of the castle. I remember the v v much beloved Mine Train Though Nature's Wonderland (rainbow caverns was the most magical place to me in all of Dland) and the pack mules that carried passengers through the same landscape. (My cousin Laurie loved those mules and we had to ride them every visit). I remember the fantastically fun Fort Wilderness on Tom Sawyer's Island where we kids would completely loose track of time pretending we were saving the fort from attack and being pioneers. I remember Wally Boag spitting out his teeth as a gag in the Golden Horseshoe Revue (that scared me for some reason as a little girl even though everyone else was laughing.) I really could go on and on. This is too fun.

The only time I ever rode the Tea Cups. 1976 or 1977, before they were moved. You can see Skull Rock on the right, and the Pirate Ship restaurant behind us.

I remember America Sings that was in the innovations building, the characters are now in Splash Mountain. I remember the pirate ship resturant in Fantasyland and having tuna fish sandwiches there. I also remember the sky ride that went through the Matterhorn, that was very cool. I also remember eating at Club 33 many years ago when our children were very young, we were invited there by one of the companies that my husband used to do business with. Good memories!!

I remember everything mentioned so far, and a few more. Faves include:

Drinking delicious Jungle Juleps from Sunkist, I Presume (now the Bengal BBQ)

Adventure Thru Inner Space, which we just called "Monsanto" after its corporate sponsor

Getting a Welch's grape juice Popsicle in Fantasyland

The old pre-1983 Fantasyland, and having FL shut down forever to be remodeled.

When the Alice ride ended after you rode on the leaves

Riding People Mover into the Space Mountain building

When the Mark Twain was always available for nighttime rides and NOS was the quietest part of the park after dark

The old Bear Country and the sound of the snoring bear in his cave

I remember it all, my first visit in 1969. I don't have to add anything here - you're all doing a great job! ; D

DH and I have been going for the last 16 years.
We remember:

Mulan Parade

running around looking for our shuttle in the parking lot at 1:00 am before the shuttle area got organized

reading the at&t signs and decoding all the messages while waiting in line for Indy

the discount store where all the Disneyland merchandise from last season would be sold located at the Disneyland Hotel

free water show and remote control boats at Disneyland Hotel

By Monsanto! I wonder how many kids including myself believed they were shrinking us and we were riding up that thing in minature? I can remember trying to see if I recognized someone's clothing standing by me LOL

About the tickets, when I first go married, they were still doing the A -E. Shortly after that, they had the passport which we always bought a pin and pinned it to our shirt(I'm guessing they still sold the A-E but for more $$ you could buy the all day ride thing) One year we went to buy a pin and they told us we didn't need to do that anymore, everyone had the all day pass.
