It's easy

Just google it. It is universal "speak." . DH= Dear Husband. DS = Dear Son, DD = Dear Daughter.

When our son was a difficult teenager, the DS stood for words I try not to use.

I think PrincessShmoo was joking.

I like to add ages, i.e., DS15, DD10

jdb - there are times I wanted to use PITA ~ any member of my family that was being a pain..... PITADH That's a joke.

What I don't get is YMMV or something like that.

YMMV = Your mileage may vary (i.e., you may have a different experience/result)

I've found that http://www.urbandictionary.com/ is a great resource when I encounter an abbreviation I'm not familiar with. For example, I didn't know what IIRC stood for and had to look it up.

YMMV was a hard one for me,

Your mileage may vary

Others use OH for Other Half... but for the longest time I thought it was perhaps ornery husband
