Disney Magic sofa bed

Have these been replaced? The Wonder sofa beds are not too good for adults.

They have been replaced to the same type that are on the Dream & Fantasy. They are still not "adult friendly" in terms of length. When we sailed in February my sister slept on the couch, she's 5'5" and couldn't stretch all the way out.

Are you saying the extended sofa bed didn't accomodate her, or that the closed sofa, as is, didn't.

I don't understand.

The mattress on the sofa bed (the one in the back of the sofa that folds out) is a twin mattress. Plenty large enough for an adult. Our sons (both 5'8"ish) slept on that bed with no issues whatsoever. A twin mattress measures 39X75. That's 6'3" in length.

The back of the bed folds down on top of the seating part and makes the bed. The mattress is the back of the sofa, so the "bed" isn't any longer than the length of the couch and the arms are at each end (pillow and foot).

Maybe it was the way our stateroom host set it up, but the arms of the couch were at each end.

We were on the magic in May and the sofa bed was horrible! We were in a suite and my daughter and I agreed to take the sofa. I could feel the springs, but figured I could deal with it being such a short cruise, but then my tiny 5 year old daughter started complaining the springs were in her back! I hated to be a complainer but decided this was unacceptable for the amount of money these rooms cost. Someone was sent right up and they agreed the sofa mattress was in bad shape. We asked if they had a mattress or cot we could use instead and they sent up a mattress and put it on top of the one already on the sofa. This worked well, but unfortunately we were unable to close up the sofa during the day. They may not be in great shape, but if you ask they will try to accommodate you.

You must have been in concierge with a sofa bed that can sleep two people. The ones in the other rooms are much different with a firmer mattress than what you find in the fold outs.

I have slept on the sofa bed on every cruise I've been on, and I've never had a problem. I'm about 5'9", so my feet do hit the end of the bed, but it doesn't bother me too much.

I assume there are two distinct types of sofa bed, as the room we are booked in is supposed to sleep two people in the open configuration, as a double size bed, not a twin. These are reported to be comfy on the other ships, but I haven't yet slept on one personally.

Yes, the majority of the sofa beds on all the ships are a single (twin sized) bed, where the back of the sofa folds down over the seat like this:

There are some rooms (not sure of category) on the Dream class ships that the sofa bed is the "typical" fold out (double) bed like this:

Pretty sure they are only in concierge on the Dream. I think that's a cat V pictured above.

I was wondering about those sofa beds ever since I booked my Fantasy cruise. We will be in a 7A and I'm hoping my 11yr old DD (5'4") fits because the bed is MINE!
