Don't sugar coat it..

Shoot me straight--on a day that easywdw lists as a level 5, just how bad can a "not recommended" park be, really? I'm asking because the numbers have changed since we first looked at our dates...and I'm a little bummed because all our ADRs are booked already based on those earlier numbers. :0(

Okay, I lied. Shoot me straight, but break it to me gently! ;0)

We've done MK at level 9, and honestly if my wife can take that anyone can. It's not ideal but it's do-able. Level 5 is a walk in the park (literally)

Is it a 5 in summer or a 5 in off season? In off season, who cares. It will be no big deal. A 5 in summer... well that is probably impossible, but heat and humidity make a 5 seem more like a 7. And a 7 in summer is still not too bad. I don't see a down side to your situation.

I'm guessing from your ticker that you will be in WDW sometime in mid-August. I think that many schools will either already be back in session or about to be, so although it will be hot, the crowds in any park won't be unbearable. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't change anything at this point - I just don't think you will gain much from putting yourself through all of that stress.

Have fun!

I wouldn't change anything either. Out of numerous trips there was only once when I just had to get out of the MK. Granted if we had dining reservations I just would have went into the restaurant

It depends. An "5" day is an overall figure. But MK could be 9 that day with AK at a 1 or 2. I would still follow "best parks" advice.

I got caught in the worst Disney crowd I've ever been part of during a fairly slow Disney week. It was so packed they opened the back entrance behind the shops on Main Street right before Wishes for those wishing to exit (us!)
