Looking for Advice/On a Positive Note

My wife may have found the perfect solution for me.

We're looking at the April 28th Sailing of the Magic out of PC (4 day).
Followed by 2 days at Magic Kingdom
Closing with the May 4th sailing on the Dream.

I was originally talked out of a B2B because I took the advice of those on the boards who pointed out that it would be a repeat of the exact same cruise. Same Shows, MDRs ect.

Would sailing the Magic & The Dream mix it up enough to alleviate that?

This way I would have access to concierge on the dream, the original Pirate Party on the magic... so much about this idea seems like a good one.

Now, I'm trying to figure out how different the menus would be, how different the shows would be etc.

I know the itineraries would be the same - but I could do worse then two free days at CC.

Well, the shows on the Magic are Twice Charmed, Villains Tonight, and Dreams. The shows on the Dream are Golden Mickeys, Villains Tonight, and Believe. So you'd be getting 5 different shows.

As you know, the Pirate Parties are different. For the most part.

The menus on the Dream would be the 3 Signature menus in each MDR as well as the Pirate menu. The menus on the Magic would be the 3 Signature menus and the Pirate menu. So the only repeats there would be Animator's Palette (mostly, but there are differences between the two), and the Pirate menu.

And, the ships themselves are different.

That's an awesome idea! Would love to plan a vacation like that in the future. Let us know how it turns out and what your thoughts are after the trip.

This one I just might have to write a TR for.

Does anyone know if some of the cooler seven day itinerary stuff made it to the 4 days? Like the cooking demonstrations. Would be great if it has - but not a deal breaker.

Might have to write a trip report? Might have to????? Please write one. This sounds like such a good idea. A lot of upsides with the only major down side being having to switch ships. And, gee, that's a downside? Your on one or the other of a Disney cruise ship. I can't really see a downside.

You may be a pioneer here. Keep us informed. PLEASE!

I think this is a great solution and way more interesting than a back-to-back. Just enough differences to be interesting, just enough similarities to kick back and relax sometimes. Plus two days at Castaway. You could do Palo on the pirate-menu-repeat-night.

Sounds like an excellent idea! And the Magic will be nicely refurbished...

You can do Palo on Magic and Remy on Dream if you really want different dining experiences. You get the aquaduck and the aquadunk I love this idea and now need to talk DH into letting us do this

What a great idea! I usually do 3-4 nights after the cruise but this sounds like real fun. Hope you enjoy it!

Earlier this year we did a 4 night Wonder cruise out of Miami to Key West, Nassau and CC. Disembarked and explored the everglades and Key's then three days later we went up to Port Canaveral and did a 3 nighter on the Dream (Nassau, CC). Got to experience a Classic Ship and a New Ship!

It was a terrific trip. Got 7 nights on board and experienced some new things in Florida.

Outstanding idea!!!!!!! Wish I'd thought of that. Now you've started something....B2B plus? B2W2B? Sea&Land&Sea? Magical Dream cruise? I see a great vacation in our future.
