Cruising with toddlers

What is the best advice going on a cruise with a 2 and 3 year old?

Relax and have fun, realize their age & roll with it.

There are many threads here if you search for specific topics - nursery for 2 year old, club for 3 year old; dining accomodations for young kids; sleeping accomodations; if you have things like diapers & swim diapers; excursions; snacks; etc.

If you ask more specific questions that you don't find answers for you might get more responses.

Enjoy your cruise!

If budget allows, get a balcony! Pre-DD we always got insides, but it is so nice to have a balcony for naptime for after the kiddos are asleep (DD loved eating breakfast out there almost every morning). Our first cruise was non-DCL and did not have a splash area, so we brought a small blow-up pool that we used out there.

Know that they can't get in the pools with a swim diaper. There is a splash pad area that they can use or they can go in the pool sans diaper. You can get Mac n cheese in any of the MDRs but NOT the buffets (unless its part of that day's menu) or the snack bars. I know this because DD3 would only eat Mac n cheese on our last cruise!

I just went on a cruise with my 4 and almost 3 year old and had a amazing time. We booked with concierge just bc of having such young kids and didn't want to stress out the entire cruise. In the concierge lounge which was not even 20 feet from my room door we could grab apple juice or orange, milk or chocolate anything we needed for the kids. They had board games in there and we got pairs of sunglasses for them no charge and some cortisone cream cause my youngest broke out in a rash. My oldest was potty trained my youngest probably about half way there. So we did take them in the Mickey pool without swimmers and the splash pad and my youngest never had a accident. I think he was so excited he just forgot he had to pee lol. The nursery was very big and very nice my youngest loved it. It's also nice if they are not completely potty trained bc you just take diapers and wipes in there and they are completely cared for. So you are not getting calls from the ocean ears club to come change your child.
