We printed at Kinkos on glossy card stock and then attached them to magnetic paper. I think it is less than $1.50 per page at Kinkos, so it is very reasonable and the quality is excellent.

We then used these magnet sheets from Amazon. The magnet sheets are self adhesive and very strong.

My husband bought the magnetic door magnets for his business. They are really thin just FYI. The look good but just to give you an idea the material is thin enough you could fold them. Not like the thick stiff magnets you can buy for refrigerators. If you did multiple designs it would probably be pretty easy to cut with scissors.

Wow!

Thanks so much for the idea! I have been having THE HARDEST time printing my DISigns from home on magnet paper (which is quite pricey) and was about to give up until I saw this thread. I used the Living Social for $50 in VistaPrint product for $10 and just ordered all of our magnets for our August cruise They do get you on shipping costs, but still a good deal when I figure how much more ink I would have to buy for my home printer and the cost of more magnet paper (to replace all that I have screwed up)

Can't wait to make these for our cruise. I didn't even think about Vista Print though. Thanks for the idea.

That's why I went with Vista. My printer is a pain and I didn't want to spend the money and time to get it printing right to do my magnets.

I'll have to figure out which DIS-igner did it. I looked at the file name and it isn't tagged with anyone's username. It might be Marion, OrcaPotter, or one of the others. I'll let you know if I figure it out.

I've heard the magnetic paper isn't strong enough for the doors. Anyone else hear this?

I've made our magnets at home on magnet paper run through an inkjet paper for our 3 cruises without any problem sticking to the door.

This is good. Where do you get the designs and ideas for the magnets?

Any luck in discovering who made your Boarding Pass DISign? Thank you!

Looks like Milliepie has a DIS_ign you can customize ourself here: http://s628.photobucket.com/user/mil...98040282965323

That isn't the one I have, but it is very similar. If I figure out who did mine, I'll post, I promise!
