3 rooms

We are doing a 4 night Dream cruise and will have three rooms total all linked together. It will by our Family, My parents and the in-laws. Will we be able to get all our photos on one package? Is it only the photos that include certain people? I ask because I am certain that while most of us will be together most of the time I am sure there will be times we are not. For example what if my folks have the kids one afternoon and get pics done?

If you are asking about the CD, in the past (and I'm figuring it's still true), CDs were 1 per stateroom. The only exception being where there are 2 rooms with mom & kids in one room and dad & kids in the second room. Nuclear family only, not extended. If only one room purchases the CD, any photos that have at least one person from that room in them will be on the CD. So, you can get everyone (for the most part) on one CD by insuring that at least one person from the purchasing room in in every photo.

It's one CD per stateroom but if there are group shots, or pictures that contain a mix, the photo will be put in each room- or you can have it added. My friends room for example had all of our large group shots, and any shots of our mixed group. Because their daughter is in every single group shot with my girls I also ended up with individuals of her in my folder (they thought she was mine.) I took her room key to check the kiosk and any shots of her that weren't in her room I had shutters add to her room. They were great about it.

Does anyone know about how many photos they print? We're considering the 7-day All photo CD and prints.... but could we end up with only 10-15 prints because they don't print many out? Or, do they print the best one of each shot? (i.e. one of everyone with the captain even if they took 3 shots to get everyone's eyes open).

lol So, I know about the entry photo and the portrait set ups in the lobby.... Is it true that Shutters is at the meet the captain event, too? Where else are the Shutters photographers? I pre-paid my CD and with VAT too So I am going to try to get my money's worth (although hopefully without spending the entire cruise waiting in lines for pictures )

How much was the VAT? Did you call your credit card company in advance to find out? That's the last thing holding me back from the pre-purchase.

For the 7 night, the VAT was 84 dollars (483 charged to my card) Disney adds the tax, not the credit card company. I wanted to pre pay as much as possible and it turns out I am so glad I did because my income has taken a sudden hiatus (hope to be back full swing in September)

Wow! 21% That's a significant tax. Do you know if the VAT also applies if you purchase the CD onboard? Does the CD/print package cost more once on the ship?

As far as I know the price is the same on board. I can also cancel without penalty and get my money refunded to my credit card. For me it was a convenience issue.

The VAT is because you're sailing in EU countries ... and never leave the EU. It applies to everything you purchase on the ship .... gift shop, booze, spa, Shutters, etc.

The photographers take photos preboarding, as your boarding, all character meets, Captain's meet and greet, formal night pro portraits, pro portraits other nights and if you're lucky, you might see them on land.

Now after reading this thread I want the CD, the printed shots and the photopass book. I've made 4 photopass books of our visits to WDW and I have to have one from DCL. I spend a fortune on pics from my 04' cruise and even bought a laser crystal for $100. I just can't resist good pictures so why not buy the whole farm and split the cost with my mother. Sounds like a fantastic bargain to me.

We bought the whole package on the Magic in December. We had over 250 shots. We got a lot of really good ones. After the second day we decided to buy the package we really had fun posing with and without the characters. It was only my husband, myself and our daughter. At most stops we also took advantage and took individual pics. It was fun watching DH posing alone with the characters. We did sadly miss the first formal night pics with Mickey and Minnie in their formal clothes. Won't make that mistake again. We got great pics in our formal clothes without the characters. We loved all the photos with the characters and their matching boarders. Also since we went in early December we got all the holiday decor in the background. They were awesome and worth the price.

I just saw this on the My Cruise Photo site ( company used for pre-orderingphotos) about families and multiple staterooms....

Stock shots (i.e. photos of the ship, ship interiors and ports of call) are not included in the Get the Picture! digital photo disc.

Hope this helps!
