Goats Milk

I am going on the Sept 2nd Alaska cruise on the Wonder. I was wondering if they ever have goats milk on board? It's the only type of milk my mom can have.

If not, can she bring some on board? Is there a fridge in the room? Will it keep the milk cold enough?

The Wonder/Magic do not have true refrigerators. They are converted minibars so while keep things cool they are not recommended for keeping medicines or milk cold. You can add a big cup of ice and it may help or if it is for medical reasons (fill out the medical form) you can request a real mini fridge be brought to the cabin.

I do not know if they carry goat milk.

AFAIK, they don't have goat's milk as a regular offering. I'd contact DCL with the diet request ASAP. Ask if it's something that DCL can provide. You can bring it onboard, as long as you bring it onboard in your carry on bags, not checked.

BUT, on the Wonder, there aren't fridges in the rooms. There is a "cooling box" but it certainly wouldn't be cold enough for milk. You can request a real fridge (I think it's $2.00 a day). It will be placed under the desk eliminating the possibility of sitting at the desk.

Just back from Alaska and I only drink fresh milk from the goat (by choice). Sorry, there is no goat milk on board. The refrigerator in my room was a beverage cooler and would not have kept milk cold enough not to spoil. Even if you found a source in port, you are not allowed to brink it on the ship unless it is canned.

I can handle cow milk so it was not a problem for me but I drank water most of the time. I actually didn't miss my milk except for an occasional craving for a morning smoothie. There were so many food choices that not having milk was never an issue.

Thanks for all the replies. I will let my mom know she will have to go without milk for a week. She only has one glass a day so she will be okay.

Who told you it had to be canned?
