25th Wedding Anniversary on a Disney Cruise

So my husband and I are celebrating out 25th this year and we want to go on a cruise. I feel kinda silly wanting to go on a Disney cruise but my husband and I are not party people. We don't even drink. We both LOVE all things Disney.
Do couples go on Disney cruises? Can anyone tell me of their couples experience and recommendations.
I am running the Tower of Terror 10 Miler on October 5th and our cruise leaves October 6th.

Plenty of couples cruise DCL. DH and I have no children and have been on 3 cruises, with 4 more booked. I like relaxing at the adult pool, catching a movie or two, and visiting the adult only clubs/bars. Many activities are for all ages and no one will care whether you are just a couple.

40th

My husband and I did our 40th anniversary last year on Alaska. It was awesome. We had thought of renewing our vows, taking the kids, taking the grandkids, etc. We ended up taking two of the kids and we had a great time.

Do it you'll love it

love the cruises and yes my DW and I go alone and often.

The great thing about cruising is that you can be as involved in activities on board as you want too. You can wake up early and do things till close to midnight every night. My DW and I don't drink, dance or gamble. So, that leaves Disney Cruise Line for us. And by the way, we spent our 25th and most recent our 27th on board last year.

Any specific questions, let me know. This is the forum to get any and all your questions answered.

Only about 3.5 months!!!!

Our parents just had their 45th anniversary, and they are taking us all (all being my sister and me - 36 and 41) on the Dream in a couple of weeks! Have a blast!!

Our first, second and third DCL cruises were just DH and me. Our last DCL cruise started out as DH & me. We added DHs mom and her DH. Then DHs sister called and asked if she and her hubby could come along.

There are adult only areas onboard. And, in our experience, they are very good about enforcing them.

Congratulations on your anniversary!! We celebrated our 20th anniversary on DCL--our kids were along, but we got separate cabins. It was a great place to celebrate an anniversary--fun entertainment, great food, beautiful locations. I think there are lots of reasons to choose DCL!

Plenty of anniversaries here, and nothing silly about it!

None of us 'kids' have kids, so on our 4/11/13 Disney Dream, we had 7 adults to celebrate with Mom & Dad for their 45th anniversary in a few months and our 10th anniversary in a few weeks.

We are like you, we don't need the boozey cruisies that we are so over (many times been there, done that) and don't care for thongs on the main stage either or casinos.

Everything you love about the parks is transferred to cruising in it's own way. Just like you see many honeymooners/anniversaries in the parks (because there is SO much to offer from thrill rides to amazing dining experiences etc), that is how it is on the ships.

And anyway, Royal Caribbean & Carnival both have as many kids as the DC ships do. At least these ones are such cute princesses and lil peter pans and pirates. I enjoyed almost all of them sincerely! The emphasis is on families and G-PG rated entertainment, which is FINE for us! There are adult only areas (but we didn't do much there, because we had a veranda of our own!) and we chose late dining seating, which we will always choose from here on out, as it is very relaxed and tends to have less lil ones anyway.

It is a SUPERB experience. I still carry my DCL Happy Anniversary with Mickey & Minnie celebration pin on my purse.

In fact, next year's anniversaries might get booked here soon for the Disney Magic...

Nothing silly about it!

Two of our DCL cruises were with extended family. The other four have been just DH and moi. We don't drink or gamble either, tho I've been known to order a non-alcoholic pina colada.

You will most likely be assigned to share a dinner table with other adult couples -- most of them are fun to talk to, tho we were assigned a table with an overbearing diva on one cruise. If you're an introvert, you could phone DCL and ask for your own table, but they won't guarantee it.

We are celebrating our 25th onboard very soon - our children are coming but we'd have chosen the exact same holiday to celebrate even if they weren't and will be booking our first 'sans kids' cruise whilst onboard.

Enjoy your planning.

We just celebrated our 25th this past May on the Fantasy and had a wonderful time without the children. My DW was apprehensive about doing a cruise without the children, but once the experience begins she could not have been more happy. We did request a table by ourselves to have some intimate meals, but luckily we were seated with two other awesome couples that we enjoyed immensely. There was plenty to keep us occupied and we enjoyed the shows, night clubs and relaxing in the adult areas of the pool. We had such a good time we almost booked another cruise while on board, but decided we needed more time to think it through. I am sure you guys will have a outstanding time.

My husband and I were married on the Disney Cruise and we still do not have children and have been on 6 cruises since then. As an agent about 1/4 of my clients who book are couples with no children!

DW and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary on the fantasy in August. We are not bringing our kids with us either. This is our 2nd cruise. Our first was 25 years ago on the big red boat before we had kids. So we were on 2 Disney cruises, neither with kids. Feeling guilty...but not too guilty. Lol. ☺
