Let's talk Essential Oils

Went to a class last night on Essential oils. I am quite interested in all the benefits. They sound amazing but are they?

Do you use them? What for? Where do you buy them?

my daughter uses lavender oil for meditation, she find it helps her relax and get a good nights sleep, we also use eucalyptus oil in the winter to clear the sinuses, others we just burn as they smell nice, as for where to buy, your local health food shop should stock them or look online

I use the Lavender Oil for Swiss Just for sleeping. It literally helped my get a good night's sleep on a regular basis for the first time in about 3 years.

I only have to use it intermittently now.

I'm interested in learning about them as well~ I have nothing to offer at this point...yet

I did yoga last week and after the session, the instructor set down on us a cool washcloth soaked with orange scented essential oils. It was heavenly, I loved the scent and it was so refreshing.

I started using doTerra essential oils about 7 months ago and out of the 40 or so oils that I have tried so far, only one hasn't really worked for us and that was Terrashield to repel bugs. But I love Past Tense and peppermint for headaches, lavender and Serenity for sleep, Balance and In Tune have worked wonders for my DS and his Autism, Citrus Bliss and Wild Orange are great afternoon pick me up, On Guard for colds and germs, Clary Sage and Clary Calm for monthly cycle and hormones, Breathe for congestion, Deep Blue for muscle aches...I could honestly go on and on. EO's really have helped us in many ways and I find myself reaching for them more and more often. I would suggest that if you are going to really give them a try that you invest in the book Modern Essentials 5th edition because it's a great resource and that you buy certified pure therapeutic grade oils.
