So excited! Just booked the poly for November staying club level garden view. First time staying @ poly and first time club level!!!! Can't wait

So I have two questions...
1)how far the walk from Hawaii to the monorail?
2)do all rooms in Hawaii have the two queens & a twin size pull out or do I need to request a room with the twin size? We have 3 adults, and 3 children (ages 5,4 & infant) so without the twin it will be a very tight squeeze.

Thanks!
Soooooo excited!!!!

CL Theme park view question

We just booked 2 days at the Poly CL TPV in October. This is our first time at Disney with our 3 kids aged 4 1/2, 3, and 6 months. We are so excited!

I'd like to request either a 3rd floor room so we have the balcony or first floor so we have the patio (want to avoid the second floor faux patios). Having a space to sit outside the room is important to us so my husband and I can sit outside while the kids nap and also to have some extra room for the kids to play. Which one is better? I was thinking maybe first floor with patio so the kids can have a little more space to play outside while we sit and watch them. Is there a grassy area in front of these patio rooms where they can play? But maybe the 3rd floor will have a better view of the parks and electrical parade plus the kids would be more contained? Or any other advantages/disadvantages to either I haven't thought of?

We have always had first floor rooms. We liked it because the kids could walk out and play in the grass or sand and if we couldn't see Wishes or EWP extremely well from our room we could just walk out to the beach. With little ones I would chose first floor. I was always afraid my kids would climb over the railing and fall. Mine are boys and ADHD. They are 15 and 19 now.

Good advice, thanks! Glad to know there is some grassy area/beach to play on. Do I call the main reservation number to have them put a note with my request or do I call the CL concierge?

Hi! I'm new to this thread but have a question about the Polynesian. I just switched my reservations from BC to Poly to get a room only discount. But, after I did that, I started looking online at this thread and other websites and am getting super worried that it was the wrong decision. The CM that I spoke to said that all of the room renovations should be done by our stay at the end of November. But, will there be lots of other construction going on? My husband already doesn't like the Poly (for whatever reason...no hot tub?) but said to do what I felt was the best decision. I'm worried he's going to dislike it more if there's construction all around us. Can anyone give me some reassurance?

They are starting construction for DVC at the Poly but I don't think they have a firm exact date yet. The longhouses will all have been rehabed by then. Until they make an official announcement none of us really know when construction will start. The construction will be on the east side of the resort so maybe ask for a longhouse that is on the west side of the resort so that you are the farthest away. The Poly is lovely even without a hot tub. Very relaxing and serene.

When staying club level I've always called CRO and had the request added to our reservation, then when we've received the planning questionnaire from IPO I note it on there. The two stays we've had CL we have had our request met.
