Dream shows

28 days out and getting antsy for our 4 night dream cruise. I love the shows and acts aboard ships but this will be the fist time with 3 in tow (3,6,9) and with late seating I can see other activities or the need for sleep to get in the way of the shows. Which ones would you not miss?

With those ages and that ship? The Golden Mickeys.

We just returned from our first cruise and had kids 2, 5, 8 and 11. We all loved all three shows! My kids are normally in bed at home by 830-9 and the older three were up to 11 or later each night easily. Golden Mickeys was fun, my boys loved Villians tonight and laughed harder than I have seen them laugh, and believe was simply amazing and my favorite. Beleive was on our sea day and there was also an afternoon matinee around 3pm and we did that.

If I had to miss one it would be Villians but my kids would say do not miss any!!! Have a great time, we loved it so much!!!

Just wondering if you realize you will be seeing the shows before dinner.

Yeah I did but am making the assumption that my kids might fall asleep while we are getting ready or want to spend extra time on the Aqua Duck. I guess life is good when these are the choices I need to make. Just trying to plan ahead of how much coaxing I do to either wake up or get the kids away from the pool.

I'd suggest perhaps an imposed "back to the room time" after lunch for winding down and resting/napping, then perhaps some indoor activities in the afternoon before the shows? If you are at the pool all day every day your kids are going to be fried long before dinner. I'm 27 and I know it kills me!

The evening activities are a lot of fun, I'd be bummed to miss any of the main shows. Even if I've already seen them all.

As the previous post mentioned, take some quiet time after lunch and then head to the pool from 3 to 5:45. The pool starts to become less busy around 3 and really clears out around 5:15. They you can get ready for the show and you will have time to get ready for dinner after the show.

I have a 3 and 5 year old and this formula works well for us. With the early shows, we prefer the late dinning.

You may be surprised on the ship. When we were on our first cruise the kids were 3 & 5 and went nonstop. Schedules and naps were out the window.
