Which Character Breakfast would you choose?

DH and I are going at the end of July. It looks like there is availability for a character breakfast at Chef Mickeys and Tusker House. We haven't done either one of them before. What one would you choose?

Thanks in advance.

Tusker house, especially if you have a pre-park opening ADR. I loved the food at Tusker House, especially the doughnuts!

Tusker House. Best character buffet in terms of food and character interaction on our last trip. Have fun!!

Definitely tusker house. It was one of our favorites for food and interaction. Maybe we had an off day at chef mickeys but we didn't enjoy it at all. Food was fine, nothing special, but the whole thing felt rushed.

Tusker! We are trying to get Tusker ADR for upcoming trip. Got CM, but no Tusker House...yet.

The character interaction is average. Food is abover average because it's so unqiue.

I haven't been to Tusker House and I feel like I'm in the minority on the boards since I like Chef Mickey's, but I would choose based on what your plans are for the day. MK/Epcot? Chef Mickey's is at the Contemporary on the monorail. AK? Tusker House.

I've had breakfast at both and have no complaints for either. Had great character interaction at both restaurants. Loved the juice at Tusker House. It's hard to choose between them, but I'd go with Tusker House

Tusker House, but definitely be sure you make an early, pre-park opening ADR -- so, 8:00 or so on a day the park opens at 9 (and make sure it is not an EMH morning). This will put you right in front of the safari by park opening -- a huge advantage. You can get one of the very first safaris and then head straight over to Everest or whichever attractions are of greatest interest to you. Summer crowds are significant, so getting this head start on your day will be key -- and we do enjoy the food and characters there!

WDW once a year since 2003!

Thanks everyone. Looks like we will be doing Tusker House. I am waiting to find out if we will be adding a day to our trip so I will book it once we have that figured out.

I've done both multiple times and have no complaints about either one, but the atmosphere of Tusker House is much better. The food is very, very, very similar as it is with all buffet breakfasts there.

Thanks so much for this thread We are on a budget with food and are hoping for a free QS dining offer for October since we never got the PIN. But we are celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary while we are down there and I've been thinking about trying to swing an ADR for a character meal. We've always wanted to do it. I had thought about trying to find a place that has a good steak (DH is picky eater) but then saw this thread. Knew about Chef Mickey but did not know about Tusker House! This is fantastic, and I called last night and scheduled our first ADR ever Even got a good early time! We've always paid and ate CS for our meals, so this is perfect. We both love breakfast buffets They noted we are celebrating and we're both really excited.
