Courtyard - Cape Canaveral / Cocoa Beach

I swear I have spent more time researching a pre-cruise hotel than I did the actual cruise!

We have decided to park at the port. We have three small kids and I don't want to wait for a shuttle.

Thinking about the Courtyard at Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach. Is that a good idea? We've had good luck in the past at Courtyards.

We stayed there pre-cruise in 2011 and enjoyed it. There is a pathway to the beach so if you get there early enough you can watch the cruise ships sail away, if there are any leaving port that afternoon. It was a standard Courtyard, clean and comfortable, which was great since we could use our Marriott points. Have fun!

We've stayed at that CY a couple of times before a cruise and it was fine. Its recently been refurbished.

We looked at staying by the port and taking the hotel shuttle. Turns out it was cheaper (marginally) to stay at an airport hotel and book private transfers. I like the idea of a private transfer instead of a large group bus.
