TS or CS on MNSSHP night?

Hi All, I have changed my schedule around so many times I'm dizzy but I think I finally have it down pat except for this night!!

We are attending the MNSSHP on 10/29 and currently have a lunch scheduled for Yak & Yeti at 1:30 the same day. We are definitely going to get hungry later on and I can get a ressie for the Plaza or LTT for around 6:30.

What does everyone do for dinner on party nights??? Do you take that much time away from the party to eat dinner at a TS or do you just grab CS??? I can't wait for some ideas to roll in so I can finally stop planning like a maniac. As much as I love it, this trip has had too many changes

We do one of two things, either get and early ADR for monorail resort TS and enter park afterwords (can enter at 4pm with party ticket)
Or, get an ADR for a MK TS after 4pm

This year we picked up at 4:20 ADR for Plaza on our party night.

I get at a CS around 6pm and take it to eat while we wait on line for the 7 Dwarves.

We ate at Columbia Harbour House in MK about 4:30 the night we attended the party and then later in the evening got ice cream. I don't think I would want to do a TS that would take time away from the party activities

Imo, 6:30 is way too late for a TS meal on a party night. I wouldn't do a TS meal much past 4:30 on a party night.

We have done a number of parties and what works best for us is to get to MK around 4, eat a CS meal, do a few rides, and then get in line for a party photo op around 6. That way we are finished shortly after 7 and ready for the party activities.

I tried to get an ADR for 4:30 on our party night which I thought would have been perfect. Well I suppose everyone had the same idea because I couldn't get anything. Our plan now (which I think is most likely better for us anyway) is to eat a CS at MK after we arrive at 4. Another option is to eat at the CS at our resort and just enter the park a little later, but ready to go. This actually may be the most relaxed option. I really don't want to waste party time eating unless it's those holiday cookies!!!

I would have a CS meal before the party opposed to a TS meal. If you do want a TS meal, plan for something closer to 4:30 pm and in the park. On average, I allow about 60 minutes for a TS meal in a park. This means that if you to the Plaza or LTT, it's unlikely you'll be finished before 7:30 pm. Many folks start getting in line for the more popular/rare characters (like 7 dwarves) around 6:00 pm.

We enter at 4pm, take pics with daytime characters, eat at Cosmic Ray's at 5pm and are in line for our priority party character no later than 6pm. By 7:20, we are on to the next party event.

Yes I've decided to just try to grab a CS at CHH if possible prior to it closing and if not Pecos or something will suffice

This year will be our second party and since our plan worked well for us the first time we are sticking with the same formula this year. Last time we went for a big breakfast at Boma at around 8:00 on our MNSSHP day, spent the day enjoying minimal lines in MK, had a 4:30 dinner at the Plaza and then snacked on candy and popcorn throughout the night (if there is any night when snacking purely on candy and popcorn can be done guilt-free, surely it's MNSSHP night). This year instead of Boma for breakfast we are doing Cape May and instead of The Plaza we are doing BOG.

As others have said, I would not do a 6:30 ADR on our party night. For the cost of the party, a TS is not worth the late jump you'll get. For example, we got on line for the Dwarves at about 5:45 and were already the 6th or 8th group on line. By the time the party started, the line stretched all the way to the entrance for BTMRR. I also personally wouldn't bother with stopping mid-party for something to eat. There is a lot to see and do and those 5 hours go mighty fast.
