Long shot question - what are the chances a specific stateroom will free up?

Anyone ever experience having their heart set on a specific stateroom number, but it being booked 7+ months out? The reason I ask is, I'd really like stateroom 10554 aboard the fantasy. It's the exact same number in the exact same location as our maiden voyage on the dream (3 night).

I wasn't too too concerned about this specific room number until I started checking rooms in the same area (specifically, deck 10, mid-fore, starboard side) and realized that EVERY SINGLE OTHER Cat5A seems to be an adjoining stateroom....

10554 is not adjoining, which was a nice feature, which until now I was completely oblivious that apparently none of the other staterooms in the area of the ship that I want actually have.

Yarrrghh.... *sadpirate*

What about 10524 same area next to the stairs and no connecting room.

Or 10054 opposite side,same room .or 10024.

We were in 10524 on the Dream last Sept. and it was a perfect location. Right near the stairs and elevators, but really no noise. I would stay there again.

We just stayed in 10024 and it is not connecting. It was a fabulous location, very quiet and convienient to the upper deck restaurants, pools, and soda stations.

To answer your question, I think not very likely. I would keep checking, especially right after PIF date and see if that person has dropped that room. I would try and find another room you are happy with and plan on that. Just my advice.

You could ask on the meet thread for that cruise.

We are thinking about requesting this room.. Do you have any pics? Was the veranda the plexi glass or white wall??

it's worth a try?

I disagree, I don't think it is hopeless. Although I am a year out from today, but every month I call to make my payment and check on my stateroom "wish list"
I am doing so after a castmate told me this would be the best way.

There are other nice rooms on the ship. Perhaps you can contact DCL and they sprinkle pixie dust on you by moving people around so you can get the room you want.

I am a total pain in the katookus to my TA since booking trying to get a specific deck with no luck yet. Just keep checking.
