Princess Dresses / Costumes

Ok, now that we are booked, I want to start looking for some princess dresses or costumes for my little one. She will turn 4 on our cruise. Does anyone have a favorite place to buy them? I'm thinking I will take her to BBB for her birthday and only have makeup and hair done, and we will bring our own costume with us. What are your thoughts?

I was able to buy dresses from Disney Store online when they ran a sale for 50% off, I was able to get them for about $25 each. Plus they have free shipping on orders of $75 or more.

In Canada we have something called Kijiji where I have bought some for my DD. I believe it is similar to your Craig's list. you might want to try there too.

Disney Store is having their Twice Upon A Year Sale (Semi-Annual Sale). Princess dresses have been marked down to $29.99. There are newer styles available too, but those are not on sale, ranging in price from $45-60. All princesses are available except Mulan & Pocahontas, currently. Snow White is only available in clearance. Cinderella & Rapunzel are also available as wedding dresses. Sofia is also available from sizes 18/24 months-4 years, but, they are harder to come by. If there is no store near you, DisneyStore.com also offers these dresses.

Ebay is the best for cheap, the Disney store has great clearance section, and sometimes there are beautiful custom dresses on etsy for reasonable prices. Best bet for authentic "Disney Store" dresses is going to be Ebay though.

Great idea!

Also I went to ToysrUs for babysrus baby shower and their entire Disney selection blew my mind! I got a glove and purse tiana set for lil girl (it was baby number four so I got goodies for the future big sis n bros.) There was so much princess stuff there including gorgeous dresses. Wow. Prob a good thing I don't have a DD! I buy for other kids. That place was amazing with selection I have never seen before...

I think the Disney store by far has the best dresses. I either wait for a sale either in store or online or I check the discount racks in the back. I bought my oldest DD the most gorgeous Rapunzel dress this way because it was last year's style. Have fun!!'

I just got a really great dress from an ebay shop for my princess. I only paid $12 for it and got free shipping. Honestly it is much nicer than I even expected. The quality is comparable to the Disney store dresses in my opinion and it cost less than most of the Halloween costumes that fall apart after the first wearing. Go to ebay and search for princess pageant dress. I got mine in auction but they have the same styles on buy it now for $18.99 to $20.99. I plan to bid on a couple more before our cruise.
