Thanksgiving on the Wonder

We are doing our first family cruise over Thanksgiving on the wonder, what can I expect? Do they do anything special because it's a holiday? Is there a link someone could provide so that people don't have to repeat themselves?

We cruised on the Magic over TG week back in 2008. The ship was decorated for Christmas, as was CC. They built a giant gingerbread house in the Promenade Lounge which smelled delicious. There was a turkey dinner in the MDRs but still had other choices as well. It was nice but I've also cruised over Halloween and felt their were more festivities for that.

We cruised over Thanksgiving this past year. Similar to what PP said, dinner was traditional offerings, plus other choices. A large Christmas tree was in the lobby and they had a lighting one evening early in the week. The gingerbread house was also in the lobby. Photographers were out several evenings taking pictures in front of both.

Kids clubs offered holiday themed activities several times thru the week. There was also a gingerbread house building that anyone could sign up for. I've read it fills up quick and you have to get tickets at guest services early.

Overall, it was a great week! We booked for next Thanksgiving too!
