Quick questions, hoping for a quick answer :)

So, I've decided to go ahead and book a second cruise for DW and myself. We are absolutely not interested in driving or renting a car and would instead prefer to rely on disney transportation. Here is my question.

Due to flight schedule, we will be arriving 3 days prior to cruise. We will be staying at Pop Century, and using ME for transport to the parks. We were expecting to be able to use a port transfer from the POP to Port Canaveral, however when setting up my reservation online, it does not give me an option for transportation from resort to the port...

In fact, it says that not all cruises will have transfers from Disney Resorts to port... So, will ME still transport us to the airport on our needed day even though we are not flying out?

I've been looking at staying at MCO Hyatt but... 200$ per night, I could do for 1 night... but seeing as it's 3 nights, I'd rather save that 600 dollars for our cruise!

I know we can look at shuttle options, but as it's just the wife and myself, and there is a 4 person min, for shuttles, it's still more cost effective to go with Disney port transfers.

Try calling to set up the transfers tomorrow. You can definitely book DCL transfers from WDW to the port on day of embarkation. You can also book transfers from the port to MCO on debarkation day. You would take ME from MCO to WDW. Cost is $35 pp each leg of the journey for DCL transfers.

Also, if you are flying home on the day the cruise ends check out the DCL Onboard Airline Check In Program. It is very nice if you are on one of the participating airlines and your flight times are after 11:25

You can find out about DCL's Onboard Airline check in program at this link (scroll down about 1/2 the page).

As I'm Canadian, I don't qualify for onboard check in unfortunately, but our flight does not leave until about 8 pm, so we will be probably doing a day room at MCO Hyatt on our departure day.

Oh, that does make a difference...but you should still be able to take DCL transfers from the port to the Hyatt at MCO.

Have a great vacation.

All Disney owned resorts will have DCL transfer options. (We've taken them from Pop in the past.) The problem is that on the booking engine, their transfer options are really bad, just not flexible at all. But you can just call at any point and tell them you are doing transfers from the resort to the port and they can change your reservation. Fairly quick and painless.

If you had to, yes, you could take ME back to the airport and then catch the cruise transfer from there. Some people do that to get to the port earlier. (Transfers from the resorts don't usually get you there before 1pm.)
