Nassau is fine. I've never felt unsafe and have been there several times. We like to do some shopping and also go enjoy the beach/pools at the Sheraton (Cable Beach) then stop and eat at the Fish Fry on the way back to the ship.

We've also done the walking tour: www.brentjes.com/nassau You get to see the Queen's Staircase, Fort Fincastle, etc. I still haven't made it to the Pirate Museum.

We went to the fort and the Queen's staircase on our last cruise. We really enjoyed it and am glad that we went. That said, it is definitely a " been there, done that" sort of thing and we are planning to stay on board on our next cruise.

I've been to Nassau several times, and my kids were just at the Atlantis for spring break with their aunt. I am not a big shopper, so that part of Nassau doesn't interest me either. But this will be our first Disney cruise, and it is only 4 nights, so we really want to make the most of our time on the ship.

Thank you for the great links. It will be our first time to Nassau and we've been trying to decide what to do. The walking tour looks really interesting.

You can also get off the ship and stay at the port and look at the Disney ship, take a few pictures, look at the other ships that might be in port next to you and then get back on the boat. Might be nice to feel solid ground for 20 or 30 minutes

Mom even can't wait to go back. Thought it was better than Sea World.

I would be interested in hearing any reviews of the Private Beaches. We would like to go relax and play with our DD on a beautiful white sand beach. Does this exist? And how do you get there from the ship?

Blue Lagoon has several beaches, one is really crowded but fun, the other is a sandy beach that is deserted but smaller on the reef side.

Having said that, you probably are going to Castaway right? That's probably the most fun 'private' beach you will find on that trip?

But do your research. We had two beach days in a row and loved it! We got the most out of our 3 day trip for sure.

we had a relaxing morning and then took a short walk (bought the tshirt etc) then enjoyed the less crowded ship for the afternoon. Would have liked to do Atlantis but cost was a little too much especially since weather was a little unpredictable (Jan)

Been there a few times over my DCL cruising experience. What is the biggest comment I can make is that I remember nothing great about anything I did at nassau.

If you want to go over to Atlantis, go ahead. Otherwise save some bucks and stay on the ship.

Hi TPM

Your pictures looks awesome. I asked the boys "dolphins or sea lions" as a hypothetical and they said dolphins but as luck would have it I want sea lions. Go figure. LOL

I booked dolphins for them and then Remy brunch as my treat.

Its going to be GREAT! I would go back and do dolphins next for sure. Their encounters looked wonderful. Next time, you can swap and do Sea Lions.

Say hello! We love that place.
