I think So Cal and Galveston are unlikely due to the special rates they had to give there is get people on the ships and the fact that they pulled out early. NYC never had to offer the deals and sold at a high price point so I think back to the Northeast. Would love to see Boston, but I think NYC is more likely.

NYC did offer GT rates for some of the cruises and DVC rates too.

I think the problems and safety concerns in Mexico are a big part of why they couldn't fill ships out of LA. If they offered a trip up the CA coast, with one stop in Mexico (or even Vancouver), they'd get more bookings. I would love a cruise that went to San Francisco and maybe somewhere in Oregon (no idea if there is anywhere to dock in Oregon, but I've always wanted to go there)

Would love to sail from New York, and combine a cruise with a taste of Broadway

I would love to see them come to Boston!! So many of us New Englanders are always flying to Florida to cruise DCL!! They could sail Boston to Bermuda or the Canadian itineraries as well! Boston is a great city full of history...a place that people would love to explore.

I'd be really sad though to hear that they can't bring any off the ships through the canal for a while. It would mean we spend more time at Aulani.
I would love a RT from San Fran myself. Although, wouldn't it need to touch in in Ensenada? Having the cruise include a day at DLR like a few did for WDW would be great.

PS. More time at Aulani isn't bad!! Lol

I think this could work:
March 1 - May 15 in LA
May 15 - September 15 in Alaska
September 15 - October 31 in LA
November 1 - February 28 in the Caribbean (with a Panama trip on each end)

Who's with me?
I'm with you on this, although, I would prefer departures from SF. They could rotate, as the Fantasy does, with going North to Vancover, then the next sailing South the Ensenada.

What about Hawaii? I'm a total newbie to cruising so I'm not sure how well that one booked... Disney did go to Hawaii at one point, right?

Yeah they did, but that seemed to be when more people were back in school, but then again didn't follow ones in July that much since had a cruise booked in August. So maybe I missed some

They also offered NY resident rates. It wasn't as poor a showing as Galveston was but they weren't flying off the shelves either...

They did offer some special rates in NYC for certain cruises (I do remember some shorter New England cruises in September Starting at $500 pp, maybe others), but nothing like kids sail free or OBB credits or special sailings with Pixar characters that they offered in other ports and they did not pull out early. The longer Bahamas cruises seemed to sell it a high price point compared to the Galveston and CA. I know that I looked to sail out of NYC and it was cheaper for me to fly to MCO and sail on the Fantasy than drive to NYC and cruise. I think that resident discounts are far more prevalent in FL than we saw in NYC. Some sailings out of NYC were downright crazy in their pricing.

I think they made their money on the summer sailings.

DCL did go to Hawaii twice last year. When they first announced the April 2012 cruise, they started a stampede of eager cruisers. So they added the October 2012 cruise and had trouble filling it. Problems included length of the cruise = a lot of $$$$, plus both cruises were during the school year.

In order to cruise to Hawaii during the summer vacation, DCL would have to cut short their Alaska season, which is more lucrative than Hawaii.

We enjoyed the Hawaiian cruise last April, but the itinerary failed to include a night-time sail past the active volcanos on the Big Island or the Napali coast of Kauai.
