Which Port Orleans food court is better?

Hello,

On our next trip to Disney I want to drive over to Port Orleans to check out the resort. It looks like the most beautiful one to me and I'd love to stay there in the future. I plan on doing this around dinner time and figured we'd get a CS meal while we're there. So which food court is better? POR or POFQ? I already know I'll be getting beignets at POFQ of course.

Another option I thought of (if we have time) is that we could take the boat from POR to DTD and have dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express or Earl of Sandwich. That might be a nice way to spend an evening.

So what are your thoughts?

Thanks!

I have stayed at both POFQ and POR and I would say Riverside is better for food.

The Riverside foodcourt is much larger, and has build-your-own pasta and salad stations. They have some other really nice offerings that are unusual like the Magic Cookie bar - nuts, syrup, chocolate and caramel bound together in a huge slice! There is a lot more variety because it's a larger outlet.

POFQ does have the beignets, which were nice, but didn't blow my mind. I kinda wanted a jam or sauce to dip them in! But it was nice to try them, and you definitely should too since they have a true cult following

Both resorts are gorgeous to walk around and nicely themed. If you do go to Riverside, take a walk around the exterior of the foodcourt to see the huge water-wheel and enjoy the setting by the water.

Hope this helps!

Miranda

Well, I haven't visited the food court at POFQ, but the create-your-own pasta bar at POR is AMAZING, and the portions are huge!

Love both of these resorts.. in fact I won't stay anywhere else since I began staying at Port Orleans in 2007, so I'd recommend you try one of these resorts in the future! As much as I love POFQ, the food court at Riverside is far superior in my own opinion! It is bigger, and has more options than FQ. They should sell beignets at both resorts though, even though I see why they are only sold at FQ with the famous cafe being in the real French Quarter in Louisiana.

I agree that the make your own pasta and salad stations make the POR food court one of the best. Afterwards we go over to POFQ for the beignets for dessert.
