Nail girls what color now?

What is your go to color on your nails now. Mine all are seeming too wintery. I need a new summer color. I am pale. I had on orange and it looked terrible. Pale pink maybe? The blues look silly on me too I think. I am late 40's. Tan I was told by my teenager make me look like an old lady.

So what's your color? I'll be in Sephora today help me shop!

I like crazy nail colors, but one of my favorites right now is Peachy Keen by China Glaze. I bet you can guess what color it is. For a pale pink I love French Affair (I think?) by Essie. I also love For Audrey by China Glaze for summer but that's a Tiffany blue.

My nails are painted a pinkish orangish coral as opposed to too much orange.

Fluorescent pink.
Looks great with a tan.
Gets a ton of compliments.

You can wear orange. I promise. You need to be aware of what shade looks best with your skin. I'm pale and I own a ton of nail polish (no, really) and that includes a few shades of orange. Don't be afraid to use the testers and really examine how your skin looks next to a color.

At any rate, in the summer I wear a lot of bright colors and I LOVE to take advantage of the sunny weather with an awesome glitter. I rarely shop at Sephora for polish - I usually shop at a independent beauty store - so I cannot really help with brands/specific colors.

HOWEVER - I would recommend a bright pink, bright or pale blue (think pool or Bahamas water!), and a green or a pale (but still bold) pink for colors. I'd also recommend grabbing at least one funky glitter - something holographic - to go on top of the colors. In the summer, holographic glitter is the perfect topcoat.

The brands I usually buy are OPI and Zoya. OPI's EuroCentrale collection has an awesome lilac in it.

Also, age doesn't matter. Wear what you like!!

i'm VERY pale (in our wdw photos, i'm so white i give off a glow...lol. i'm allergic to the sun, and wear 100+ sunblock), and i'm currently wearing avon "on point blue" on my toes. it says it dries in 30 seconds, but, seriously, it takes longer than that. i don't do my fingernails, because i'm an admin. assistant, and type a LOT-painted fingernails wouldn't last 10 minutes.

A little here, but what's the deal with the ring fingernail being a different color? I've seen it twice this week (on different girls).

The ring finger thing is a teenager thing. My dd does it. So I ended up with OPI Pinking of You bought at the beauty supply store since Sephora had nothing good

It's just a style called an accent nail - it's not just a teenager thing. A lot of times it really just comes down to it being an easy way to spice up a manicure. It's quick and easy to paint all the nails the same and then just do designs or glitter on two of them rather than all. I do it sometimes when I want to wear a glitter that's a pain to take off. This way I'm struggling with two nails instead of ten.

I tend to opt for easy nail art looks that can be pulled off with minimal effort. It gets boring wearing just one color on all my nails but I don't have the time/patience for the very intricate stuff nor do I have the money to invest in a lot of tools for stamping.

I'm boring, mine are done in the French manicure and I don't ever change it. when I was getting a pedicure this week, a teacher was sitting beside me getting her toes painted red with white polka dots on them. I had to ask if she was going to Disney, but she wasn't. She just wanted something fun for summer.
