Tasty Adult Beverages!

What is your favorite adult beverage that you bought on board your cruise? And is it because the bartender or the recipe?

For example, when DH and I went to Key West for four days this past May, I have to say I had the best Sangria at El Siboney and Mojito at the Orchid Key Inn! The Sangria was awesome because the recipe and ingredients were fresh...no bought mixers...all natural ingredients. The Mojito was because the bartender was fabulous and again, no bought mixers...all natural ingredients.

I'm a fan of the Gin Garden which includes Hendrick's Gin, muddled cucumber, and fresh lemon juice.

If you're looking for "natural ingredients" steer clear of the drink of the day and the frozen concoctions. They have a lot of sour mix/juice from concentrate things going on. Craft cocktails these are not.

We love the Paradise! It is a drink of the day it isn't frozen and has no mixes but it does have juice. It had vodka, coconut rum, pineapple juice, and cranberry juice. Possibly another liquor but I can't remember for sure. They were made the best our first day by Craig but we got the other bartender to add less coconut rum and they were delish!

Cubre Libre
Rum brought from home.
Coke from the drink fountain.
Lime for the lunch buffet.
Mixed it myself in the room and walked around the ship drinking it, then went back, and made a second drink.

This is a take on the cucumber gimlet. The elderbubble should be called a 'Kir Royale' made with raspberry liquor (chamborde) and champagne.

Honestly, I haven't found a good drink on board (i'm picky) except when we did the mixology course... those were good drinks

We have better luck with our standard bring-your-own drinks:
  • Grapefruit vodka & cranberry
  • Rum & Coke
  • Gin & Tonic

We're thinking of adding a bottle of bailey's this year to add to our coffee.... in the evening...or morning...
one thing we REALLY like is the cold Moet Ice Champagne in the adult only pool area... except for the bill....$20/gls
