Just about 5 mins or so (less if it isn't crowded and/or you walk quick). Both the EOS and WGP Express are just past the Disney Christmas Store. Now that Capt. Jacks is closing the only restaurant closer to the boat dock is the Rainforest Cafe.

Mardi Gras doesn't make the resort especially busy in itself, however Presidents Week does if they happen to overlap.

There are usually some fun things going on for that Tuesday at the resort, see http://www.portorleans.org/mardigras.php.

How early do you guys think we would have to get there to get a seat for yeehaw bobs show in mid August? There are 7 of us and we've never seen him before.

Thanks!

Half an hour before the show (around 8pm) should be ample to get a couple of tables nearish to the stage.

In regard to Yee-haw Bob, is that suitable to bring a 5 year old and 2 yr old?
Trying to decide if we should swim and do a movie on our first night or this.. I would love to see him though!

We saw a lot of little ones when we went. I wouldn't say anything was 'inappropriate,' but its VERY loud and boisterous. How is your 2 year old with noise and chaos? We've only seen him once, so maybe others can chime in better on the specific appropriateness of the content of his show.

Hi all, we are booking today! in an hour or so.

My question is this. Building 38 in AB, is that about the same distance from the food court walking wise as building 17? I am trying to finger measure it but would really like an experts advice on the distance there. A big thing for my dad (who's birthday it will be while we are there) is being able to get everyones mugs and walk over to the food court and get coffee. I know its weird but he enjoys doing that in the morning while we are getting ready because he is usually ready way before us. So I wanted to make sure that I do everything possible to request that we are not 20 miles away from the food court.

Ok, thanks.... he does okay with noise, as long as its not screaming or something.. LOL.. I figure he would be more entertained with this, than a movie anyways... Night-time swim and Yee Haw bob sound like a fantastic night!!

From what i rememeber back in October Bob did two shows, one around 8 for families and then one a little later for the older crowds... I might be mistaken but I thought for sure he did!

Yeah I saw children at the earlier show also. He even interacts with them if they are close enough to the stage.

There's not a lot in it, and it would probably be swayed by where within each building you were located. 17 is marginally closer, but 38 is a more direct river-bank walk so it might actually feel shorter.

17 is closer for the South Depot bus stop, but 38 is closer to the North Depot. And 38 is closer for the Ol' Man Island swimming pool and the pool bar.

My reservation says "pool view", where are those rooms located? Also, can I request Mansions?

When you go into the maps on the first page, you can pull up the buildings and Andre has indicated which rooms are what view.

Yes, you can request the mansions, but you are only guaranteed if you have a RR.

King Mansion room

I am a bit concerned about my room for our stay in September. This trip is just me and dh. I have booked a king room, which exactly what we wanted. I had looked at the pictures on the WDW site which only show the rooms in the mansion section. However I have been looking at some threads and other places online and find that they have AB section, which I think is lovely, but really not for us. Now I am really concerned that we will check in and not be in a mansion room. We will definitely be willing to wait for a mansion room to open up if none are available, but what do you think our chances are of getting a King room, which we booked in the mansion section?
