Anyone able to buy GFV in California right now???

I heard that California hasn't signed off on GFV yet and wanted to see if others are hearing the same thing?

TIA

No luck for CA purchase...

I called on the 22nd, and was told that they wouldn't be able to discuss anything with me at all -- since CA has not officially approved the project yet.

When I requested an approx date, I was told "We do not know". I really hope I can buy the points now without having to fly all the way to Orlando!

If anyone has got this done today, then maybe the issue is resolved?

DVC can not sell from California offices.
If you want to wait for your guide to be able to sell you can. If you don't want to wait, they are to refer you to a Florida guide to process the paperwork by phone/email.

Adminjedi,

So I can call (Like I did) to my guide in Florida, who stated he couldn't sell me or even discuss any details over the phone since I was in California. I was not at California sales center.

From your post, it looks like I should be able to buy now, correct?

Thanks!

Perhaps not. That is not how it was stated to me, but if you were directly told that, it could preclude you. The price will be valid until June 19th, and I was told the expectation is that the California guides will be approved prior to that for sales.

If it doesn't get resolved quickly, a last minute trip to Disneyworld might be in order

Seriously? If this is true then I'm stressing over nothing! Here I was agonizing over whether to buy "today" (or ever).

My guide is based in CA and couldn't even discuss VGF with me. She referred me to a FL based guide who can sell me points right away if I so desire...now if I could just make up my mind.

I inquired about GVF this week and was told the exact same thing.

From another source I was told if you are in Florida and want to buy, they will credit your guide and all the paperwork must be completed before you leave. This sounds like it would work, but the information is second hand.

I live in Cali and was told that they can't talk to me yet. I spoke to them yesterday- may 31and was told Californians still aren't eligible to buy. My guide is based in Florida. I just hope we can buy before the price goes up!!

Uh stupid question I want to ask out of curiosity - why can't CA residents purchase VGF? Why would you have to fly to FL or take to a rep outside of the state?
