Dave runs a good site. Always good info there. Plus you can never have too much Disney world information.

On a positive spin; actually he was forecasting no GP free dining after September, prior to this new forecast. So really, things are looking up for a possible new (fresh start) PIN release and/or GP free dining.

Edit: Just a note- His site is so much more than this article, and this article is just his own opinion; however he does apply the scientific principles of his day job and applies them to Disney. And just so no one goes into full panic mode, he has been saying no free dining after September before that promo was even leaked. So, for him to say that GP free dining after Sept is even a possibility is encouraging news.

Does this mean you are changing your mind about the likelihood of a GP free dining offer? I hope not! He actually says all three options are possible, but he clearly thinks GP is not likely.

The one for free dining we received via email on 6/25 was for dates:

8/25- 10/2
10/18 -10/31
11/11 -11/23
11/30 - 12/4
12/15 - 12/22

You had to book by 8/14. We aren't going this year, anyway.

I could not take a new PIN release, I just want the torture to stop and bring on the GP. If I have to get FD for Oct by a new PIN release, I think I'm out of luck. I don't think my nerves can take it. Just stop the insanity already and bring out the GP offer!

Exactly. And he has 3 scenarios in his analysis for which he has no hard data, meaning that his guess is based on the model that he feels is most likely. Who knows what will happen.

Just to be clear then...we are so over the PINs??? lol I totally understand your frustration and the feeling of being tortured; I too would like them to just fore go the PINs and release free dining for everyone!

Agree, because they always give me the Pins for when I'm not going, and not for the times when we can go!
I do appreciate the 3 day heads-up, however, with the Disney Visa when they do it that way.

While I know that getting FD with a value requires a 'premium' room and not a standard, I assume (and we all know what that can do to us) that at a Moderate they would require a premium room as well. Hence why I booked the royal room at PO-R. Should I change this to something else or leave it? I'm hoping to jump on the early Disney Visa FD if/when it's released for a 12/4 arrival.
Thoughts on room change or keep? TY!

I have FD in a value standard room. We have done FD multiple time and always standard at a value.

Same here, we never get a premium room and have had FD. I love POR but have no interest in royal rooms and never get preferred locations. We don't get waterview or anything. We always go to Mod's and whenever had FD always just book standard room.
Sometimes if you call late, they may tell you that the only rooms available are certain ones, like royal rooms, etc., but that just means that the amount of FD rooms allocated for the standard have been booked.
For instance, I have been told I can only book a garden view at a resort with FD. Guess it just depends on what's more popular at a given resort.

Sorry, let me rephrase that then...Whenever 'I' call and book a standard in advance of free dining, then call the morning of Disney Visa card holders FD event to add it, I am always told that I 'must' upgrade to a premium to get the FD. So, I'm glad for your past Pixie Dust, but my question is still unanswered.
