Bus back to WDW

Hi all... We're returning to WDW after our Fantasy cruise next week.

The ship is expected back in port at 7:30am. How soon do buses back to WDW start running? Would like to get back by lunch.

Most reports say that you can be back at WDW anywhere in the 9:00-11:00 timeframe, depending on when you disembark.

AFAIK, the busses run as they fill up. You are directed to a specific bus based on what resort you are going to.

Last year on the Fantasy we had early seating and so early breakfast. We ate breakfast and then walked off the boat and through customs. At the podium they directed us to a van (not the DCL bus). It was us and two other family. We left and went to OKW and dropped one family off and then us at POR. We were checked in and in out room before 9:30.

We had early breakfast and didn't rush, but still were at CBR by 9:00am. If you have late breakfast, obviously you'll be a little later than that, but easily before lunch - you could likely be in a park for lunch. If you want to be out sooner, you can walk off with your luggage as soon as the ship is cleared (usually between 7/7:30am).

Enjoy your cruise!

we have had the same experience on the last two cruises. At least with the van we didn't have to wait for it to fill up. it was great.

There was an early bus that left at 0800 and they later left at 930 based on your dine assignments

We just got off the Dream 3 weeks ago, we had late dining so our breakfast was later. Even after they announced a delay with customs we still managed to arrive at BWV using DCL transportation by 11:15 our room was ready and we were in EPCOT by 12:00

You do not have to go to your assigned dining time the last morning...you can just eat up at the buffet. It is not advertised as an option that last morning but it is available. You can also opt for "Express Walk Off" which means you would not put your luggage out in the hall the night before, you would just carry it off ship. This is for people who want to leave the ship very early. You will get instructions in your room for all debark options for that last morning. If you are waiting by the big doors when they open and hop on one of the first buses (that leave about 8:00) you should have no problem getting to WDW early (barring any delays with the ship, customs or traffic).

We usually eat up at the buffet and are back to our cabin before 8:00 am (the time you need to be out of your cabin) to pick up our things and leave the ship. I hate hauling my bags to the dining rooms as there is very little room to maneuver. I much prefer to leave everything in the cabin and then get back to the cabin before 8:00 to get it and leave.
