Kona for dessert then Wishes on the beach?

We are having a non-Disney trip in August (we love a certain wizard...), but we have a few Disney excursions planned--DTD of course, and breakfast with Stitch at 'Ohana. We were also thinking we'd try to view Wishes from the Poly one evening. Wishes is at 10, so if we have a ressie at Kona we can park for 3 hours, right? Dh and I are disagreeing about the best time to reserve at Kona, to be seated and served dessert...he thinks we could get the ADR for 9:00 and still be on the beach in plenty of time for Wishes at 10. I'm thinking the ADR time they have available at 8:40 would be better. What do you think? How long to get seated, served (dessert only) and paid at Kona on a Thursday night in the summer?

I agree. Better to have too much time, than feel rushed or miss some of Wishes.
In the end, only three things matter:
How much you loved, how greatly you lived, and how gracefully you let go of the things not meant for you.
