Yup. With kids, scifi is awesome.

Sorry but I think you'd be crazy to cancel via. Its one of the best meals I had on my last trip. Outstanding!

Id cancel 50s....food was decent but nothing special. Antics were funny but I enjoyed scifi way more. Atmosphere is awesome, cool and quiet.

Overall I think its a waste to do two restaurants in HS (and not a single one at epcot).

The food is ok there, but if you've never been to Sci-Fi, its a fun place to try.

The food is not great at sci-fi but the kids love it! So based on atmosphere and not food quality, I'd cancel 50's

I really just don't like Sci-Fi. The food is okay and the atmosphere is neat, but the little tiny shelf in the car that is supposed to be your table is so narrow it's almost irritating. It is so dark I literally had to take a flash picture of my food to see it, and DD and I got to look at the back of my mom's head in the car and she had no company at all unless she wrenched her neck around. I actually think I would like it better at a table, and it may be worth it to go once, but just not my thing at all. I like the other places.

Thanks everyone! We actually have 12 ADRs but I wouldnt dream of cancelling any of the others!-so this was the short list.
I was considering cancelling BOG dinner because the lunch menu is so similar and I've read mixed reviews but I know it's so sought after!
We dont go 'til Sep so I have plenty of time to deliberate - your comments have definitely given me food for thought ( ;-) )

Another vote for bagging 50s. I personally find the servers to be hit or miss, and either fun-hearted or sort of mean. It's an experiences I can definitely pass on in the future.

I think the food at Sci-Fi is only okay, but the atmosphere makes it a keeper!

Personally, I'd cancel SciFi. We've had good experiences at 50's, but we all like those old fashioned shows. We are a tall family so we find the seating at SciFi to be a tad uncomfortable.

I'd cancel 50s! You can have that food anywhere but where else can you sit in a car watching movies in AC!!! It's awesome setting!

Via Napoli has amazing pizza don't cancel that & if you have a coveted BOG don't cancel that!!!

Good luck!

Neither of these appeal to us so I would agree.

I didn't think that the lunch and dinner menus were similar at BOG. The desserts are the same, but the entrees are different. I liked both meals, so I would keep BOG.

I like Sci Fi for the atmosphere. The food isn't outstanding, but it's tasty. My family rediscovered this one recently and it's on our "must do" list.

VN is one of my favorites restaurants. The arancini appetizer is really good. I love the thin crust pizza...and the "Ugly But Good" sundae is outstanding.

As for 50PT, well, it's not somewhere I'd choose to go willingly. I suppose if someone in my party really wanted to, I consider it, but a large part of me would consider eating separately for that meal. I disliked the server acting as if they were your Mom or Dad, scolding you to eat everything, proper mannerism, etc. It made for a very uncomfortable meal and I see no reason to return.

I'm from England so the 50s menu is 'unusual' food to us!!! :-)
I am a bit dubious of the servers as DH and I are both quite shy.

We have great european restaurants in the UK but italian is by far my favourite.

I love the theming in sci-fi and DH really wants a picnic burger- but then he also wants a peanut butter milkshake at 50s PT!!!

It might be all ok yet- i looked at flights last night and it seems cheaper to fly a day or two later... We cant add FD if we do stay so would probably want an oop adr ;-)

... Whole other level of planning a vacation around the food!

I would get rid of the 50's restaurant. We went last October and we were so disappointed in the food. I have had frozen meals that were better.
