It wasn't a fun way to stay our Disney stay.

Does the WL have a business center? Can we call from the ME and have our trunk waiting at check in?
WL is not a conference hotel so you won't encounter this problem. When we stayed last April, we had water shipped to the hotel. The CL staff brought it up to our room within minutes of checking in (actually, I don't think we even made it as far as our room before they had it for us with our stroller rental - very convenient to transport a heavy case of water!) It should be noted on your reservation that you have a package waiting and they will retrieve it at check in. When shipping we included our reservation number on the label.

I'm so torn.....@ what time is the afternoon pool party? We'll be at the parks most days but we do have a 4 year old so that worries me for any nap time.

What would be most convenient to the lobby area (food court, restaurants, buses, etc)? This is my first stay here.

Thank you for your help!!!
The pool party runs most of the afternoon.

The elevator in the north wing comes out right by Roaring Forks on ground level, so it is convenient to the counter service food, the main pool and the boat dock. The elevator in the south wing comes out closer to the buses and main lobby. There is this crazy ramp that 4 years olds love to run down that goes from the lobby level down to the pool level. I lost a granddaughter on that one day. But if you plan to eat at Roaring Forks and take the boat a lot, then I prefer the North wing.

Nice discount available for August/Sept. in case of any last minute trips...

We might have to change around our plans (not sure if DH will be able to make it due to work) and rebook part of our stay. We originally booked through travelocity because they offered an additional 15% off of Disney's 30% off rate, plus we got 5.5% back through ebates. So I looked into this again earlier this week since my sister may want to join us and would need her own room. I thought that the travelocity deal had expired but was pleasantly surprised to see that the current deal is even a bit better that the original one we'd booked. Disney's 30% + Travelocity's 15% + Ebates's 6.5%. I looked for dates in later August. Most if not all room categoies are available just in case anyone is in need of a last minute trip. The downside is that the payment is due at full and you can't use disney gift cards and disney visa doesn't get extra points but the savings are substantial. Like with Disney, it is fully refundable but only up to 6 days in advance, not 5. Just wanted to spread the savings

Thanks for the information about the great discounts for the end of August. It must be a really slow period since there are some great deals out there for this time period.

According to the current activity calendar, the pool party is from 2:45 - 5:00. Sorry you've had to switch gears and drop CL, but you're still going to have a great stay at WL. I agree with Wood Nymph's room location suggestions.

Whether you check-in downstairs or CL, you still need to ask at check-in to see if there's any availability during your stay. There aren't additional CL slots that I'm aware of, but the CL concierge can check for availability.

Thank you! I hope so two! Crossing my fingers. I kind of want to surprise DH if at all possible with this so I hope he chases the little one around the lobby as usual while I check us in so I can covertly ask!

Is it possible to get a late checkout at WL or any Disney resort? With gas prices keep going up I don't know if they'll be dropping before going in September. I can get a round trip flight for under $300 on Southwest but the return flight would be leaving at 4:55 and I'd rather be able to have access to a room before leaving for the airport. Thanks for any feedback.

Late check-outs are at the discretion of housekeeping and are usually no more than a couple of hours. If you're using ME, for a 5:00 departure they would pick you up by 2:00, so even if late check-out wasn't approved, you'd only have 3 hours to kill. Maybe you could go to lunch at WCC? If you're staying club level, you would have lounge access/privileges until closing the day you check-out. You can have it noted upon check-in that you're requesting a late check-out and they will let you know if it's possible.

Would love to one day stay CL but I'm pushing my budget to stay at WL this trip. I was looking at my checkout date and AK will have EMH that morning and if I was to make it for that I would want to be able to freshen up before heading to the airport. I will keep that in mind...hopefully I can get my plans firmed up soon!
