42 days according to our calendar!!!

DH still won't let me pack yet. So, I have a small box in the office that I have small stuff in: bandaids, hats (we froze one day last trip and that taught us an expensive lesson!), superglue, safety pins, etc. Silly DH, trying to keep me from packing.

50 days to my Wilderness Lodge stay I customized my DH's and my MBs this morning. I need to contact Tech Support with some MDE issues before I make FP+ for our 3 rooms, 9 people, 3 generation traveling party. But having stayed at Pop Century last week, I am really looking forward to the Lodge!

I am re-visiting our Woods View room requests. I'm keeping "near Otter Pond, 5th floor" for my husband and I since we like quiet. My DIL wants a room open to the lobby so she can step out and look at the Christmas tree from above. I can easily switch her from the request that was the same as mine to an "open to the lobby" instead.

Where I hit a snag: is both her parents have severe mobility issues and will have the oldest grandchild in with them (the other two will be with DIL). DIL is renting scooters for her parents, but the more I read the Disabilities section, the more it sounds like they should be on the same floor as the lobby and near the buses. We also want to keep DIL's parents and DIL close to each other.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to use the elevators with an ECV? DIL's parents have never used an ECV before. I also seem to remember the lobby is not on the ground floor. But I couldn't locate which floor it is on? Is WL small enough that it wouldn't be all that bad if we end up in three very different sections? What would be the optimum room reqests for her parents without trying to keep us all together?

I wouldn't say they are "difficult" but they can take practice.

I suggest a room near 2113..or that hallway...I think one side is considered a woods view. I love that hall..I can walk across to Roaring Forks, walk out to buses and it involves no elevators! Love the ease!

Thank you! The even side is Woods View according to the wonderful, easy-to-read room map on page one That does look like it would be good for them. I'm guessing that the 2 in 2113 means the lobby is on the second floor?

yes..there is a 1st floor, lower near the pool/lake

I would make sure to request LOBBY LEVEL and note that there is a person with impaired movement in the room

Posting live from WL! The hotel is at 100% capacity right now, but it doesn't feel too bad. The only things that I've noticed are the pool being pretty crowded in the afternoons and the massive boat lines. One night we had to wait for 3 boats before we could board one to the Contemporary for our Chef Mickeys reservation (i felt particularly bad for the people in the MK line, though). I don't think we have ever taken the bus to MK in our past trips, but we sure have this trip! Other than that, it is not too bad. Mousekeeping has been great so far - we've had some sort of towel creation each day, and our mousekeeper always arranges my daughter's stuffed animals in the cutest ways. Let me know if anyone has any questions!

Our MagicBands came this morning. I saw the UPS driver pull up from my office window and beat him to the front door. I may have been his most excited customer all day because I had to apologize for ripping the box out of his hand in my excitement.

And Kook, you are right. He will be in heaven with his bed so close to the kitchen!

Curious why 100 percent capacity? Is it fall break for some schools, or the runup to halloween, or some other special event (convention?), or just general success of disney marketing happiest place on earth?

We received a pin code in the mail today, so we just booked Wilderness Lodge for five days, 8/23 to 8/28! This will be our first visit to Wilderness Lodge. We've stayed at all the mods, except CSR. We've also stayed at Poly, Beach Club and Animal Kingdom Lodge. We booked a bunk bed woods view room...meaning I won't have to share with DD and DH won't have to share with DS....both kickers!

We are taking a 7 day DCL cruise prior to our Wilderness stay from 8/16 to 8/23. This will be our longest Disney vacation to date.

Nope! That's the first week of November (11/4 - 11/8) during the NJEA Teacher's Conference.

Kinda surprised that it's 100% capacity. I thought this time of year was "slower."

Well, our 2014 trip has had some changes!!! We were supposed to be staying at the GF in August, however, we've done a complete overhaul and are now staying at WL CL in April!!! Our dates are now 4/24/14 - 5/3/14!!! I am so excited that we will be getting down there sooner and even happier to return to the lodge (our favorite!!). Wooohooooooo!!!!!

Now I'm panicking since I will have to make ADRs NEXT WEEK now!!! Before, I had until feb!

I know how much you love WL CL, so that sounds like a great plan. And it will be Flower and Garden time, too. And the weather will be better than August.

It's starting to feel so close!!
My tickets arrived today so I was finally able to add them to MDE and make all of our fastpass+ selections.

I am just bursting with excitement. I am currently working on a grocery list for breakfast and snack items for the studio. We've always had the DDP before, but this time we are paying OOP so I am trying to plan some more filling breakfasts.
I did online check in and requested woods view for our studio. I think most of them are..but hey, better than a parking lot if I can avoid it.
I can barely stand the anticipation. We've only ever visited the lodge twice. Once about 4 years ago for a dinner at WCC and once in the summer of 2012 for lunch at Roaring Forks.
I can't tell you how many times I have looked at pictures of it all decorated for Christmas and though "if only..."
And now it's coming true in 53 days!!!!
