Thanks!
Hello, welcome and congratulations! Unfortunately based on where the Villas building is situated compared to the main building, the view of Wishes is pretty well blocked by the main building. We don't have any personal experience with room locations in the Villas, but from walking around the building it appears to us that the views don't vary too much, and will generally be a "woods" view. You can however walk over to the main building and watch Wishes from the windows in one of the corners of a high floor in the North wing. It isn't like watching them from the park, but you can walk over and get a view if you're at the resort. This year we also watched part of Wishes from the parking lot in front of WL, and were able to see most of the fireworks.

Happy planning and enjoy your trip.

So close and yet, so far! Just counting down the days now until our first WL stay! SO excited!! In my head, I'm already sitting on ME waiting to pull out of MCO! Unfortunately, we won't be doing that for the next 1 week and 6 days. (I hope there's a bathroom on board! )

Thank you! We (dbf and I) are taking ds2 for his first trip and unfortunately he is kind of scared of the fireworks up close so I am trying to find other places to watch them other then In the parks where the booms aren't so loud.

Don't know about on ME but as soon as you exit the plane there is a ladies room right there! The line moves very fast too!!

- There are shutters facing north on each of the floors from which you can see the fireworks when you open them if you are on a higher floor. (I'm sure that is a run on sentence )

- You can see most of them from the WL beach and boat dock.

- Head over to the Poly beach. Music is piped in over there but you have yo be in the right spot to hear it. I don't mind missing the music and the fireworks are extra enjoyable with a cocktail or Dole Whip from C Cooks (not to be confused with Kook )

- Head over to the bridge between the CR and BLT. This is a fantastic viewing spot and usually pretty quiet!! Music is piped in.

Enjoy!!!!

So I get to work and log on. "Manage your MagicBands" What happened to the customize button? Log off/on. Three times. Nada. Anyone have this happen? Does it just randomly resolve itself?

Edit: If anyone runs into this problem, just do the online check in again. You don't have to change anything, just cycle through and the MB "Personalize" comes up. At least it did for me!
Go into your mde and modify your online check in (you do not have to make any changes, just go through it) that's how mine appeared this a.m.

Perhaps this is a silly question...

... Looking at the room layout map linked in the first post of the thread: Does the X on the map denote an elevator? I am trying to figure out where they are so I can get an idea of where to request if at all possible.

Many thanks!!!

I'm glad that your wait is finally over! What color band did you get? I've already changed my color from blue to pink.

We only have 44 days to go. I made some changes to my arrival day plans and really like our more laid back agenda. I think I made a lot of plans based on the idea that it is easier to cancel an ADR than to add on. So I cancelled a couple of them and now our trip is less scheduled than before, which is what my DH wanted in the first place. I just haven't told him about all the fp+'s I made.

Yes, those are elevators. The ones in the north wing are very convenient for Roaring Forks, the pool and the boat dock. The elevators on the south side are convenient for the bus stop.

One more ?
If you are on the North side of the resort, can you cut across the courtyard area to get to the bus stop, or are you forced to walk the horseshoe? From the aerial view maps, it looks like there are paths, but I was wondering if it actually lets you walk across and through?

TIA!
