Staying at EMERALD ISLAND RESORT. Any Experiences?

I will be staying in a house in the Emerald Island Resort in a few weeks. Does anyone have any experience with the community?

Any tips or recommendations?

Also, is anyone aware of a shuttle to/from the resort?

I don't have any knowledge of Emerald Island as a visitor, but have also been looking for feedback on it. My first stay at EI will be in May. It seems to have everything we are looking for. Hope you have a wonderful stay.

I've stayed in a house in EI and we loved it. If there is a shuttle, I couldn't tell you...It is close to Disney property and easy to get around. We enjoy the idea of a gated community for security.

The real key to renting from an owner in one of these communities is the owner and their property manager. Make sure you have read through reviews to understand how the house is kept up and how they've treated previous guests.

Ei is lovely.

We've stayed there 6 times!

There is a shuttle, but we use hire car,so I've no idea of times etc.
When you first arrive-go to the clubhouse reception and they'll advise you.

I love Emerald Island.

There is a shuttle, you can find the current pick up/drop off times and order tickets from the clubhouse. (Tickets do need to be ordered in advance) Its operated by Maingate Transportation and you can find the latest rates here: http://maingatetaxi.com/shuttles.htm

For larger groups (maybe more than 4 people) it may work out cheaper and more convenient to get a private charter from them. The regular schedule depends on the theme park opening/closing times and anticipated demand.

EI is close to the 192 and restaurants, but realistically you should have a car to get around to pick up groceries or perhaps head out to dinner in the evening.

Enjoy!
