Trying out part of fastpass plus today! It's an online fastpass plus for be our guest lunch. We were given it while checking in at Poly CL. We reserved our meal and time so now all we have to do is pick up our rose at philharmagic, choose a seat at BOG, and our meal shows up! No waiting in line and we got to select a time.

Interesting to hear some details that give clues how this might work. Have a fun time.

Yes. Once the FP+ line is longer than 5-10 minutes it's not "Fast".

Maybe that's what the + is for.

In the context of lines at WDW, "fast" is relative. If the stand-by line is 2 hours, a 20-minute wait in the FP line is reasonable. This is often the case at attractions like Soarin' and others.

FP hasn't been pitched as relative. It always has said little or no wait in their marketing materials.

I'd give you maybe 20 minutes at most, but if I was pre-booking and then had a 30+ minute wait, regardless of the standby time, for me it would be ridiculous.

You don't think the marketing folks could do something with the "Not quite as slow" pass?

Mesa - there is also a thread from last week on the restaurant board from someone that used FP for BOG.

But "little" is also relative. 15-20 minutes would not be considered a long wait by many, especially if the alternate is to wait in a 2-hour standby line.

I agree, after 20+ minutes in a FP line, I start to get a little impatient. But 20 minutes or less is a fairly reasonable wait for a lot of attractions, especially during busy times when that's the shortest line a lot of people are waiting in.

I agree. 30+ minutes after a pre-booked time is bad. But how many posts do we see here where people wait at least that long for a table with an ADR. This will probably happen some with FP+ as well.

This is interesting. The blackstone group just purchased Seaworld. I was doing a google search on who owned seaworld, and this just came out on the orlando sentinel, not even 15 minutes ago. The fine print says blackstone group has 50% shares in UO.....http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/...ackstone-group

Edited to add, I'm a loser, this article was from 2009, looked at the wrong spot for date! Sheesh, not enough coffee this morning

I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor, I was back to pondering my mortality.
