Well it is almost time for the "official" food & wine visit, I had a bit of an unofficial one 3 weeks ago.

They don't hand out wristbands at Chase for every concert. They had them for the Go Gos but not Air Supply.

I doubt I'll post from there, I hate posting from the Ipad.

I've never been turned away from a food & wine event and I've never had to produce my reservation number. They've always had my name on a list. Make sure they don't have an incorrect spelling if they can't find it.

When the reviewer liked a food there was a great deal of actual detail. But when the reviewer disapproves the phrasing seems disdainful. Guess I did find the correct word.

I'm not trying to start any arguments. I just realized I didn't care for the point of view. Also, I'm just trying to figure out if it's just me.

You have to be familiar with Josh, the blogger who wrote the review. He never claims to be some kind of professional, non-partial reviewer, he's just Josh, giving his own opinions (and he has a definite sarcastically humorous style) . If you read his blog he is so incredibly detailed in the information he provides. Mostly with regard to crowd calendars and touring plans. But he also provides extensive coverage of food and beverage offerings, construction updates, merchandise offerings, and loads and loads of beautiful photos. He give those of us who need our daily Disney fix lots to savor.

I suggest reading his blog and then you will understand his style a little better.

They told me the days they would hand them out and I promply forgot. haven't needed one yet in 8 concerts.

3 days left. I can definitely say that 28 days is too long a stay though.

Sorry to say it, but I think discussing the tone of a blogger's reviews is not on topic for the Festival discussion. I guess I don't want to see the thread get sidetracked with a discussion about this particular blog and what the author might mean or not mean by his choice of words.

Ahhh... Thank you. I love being able to ask a question & get it answered! Instead of jumped on. It was just bugging me. I'm so used to the Food Network & Cooking Channel reviewing things. I keep forgetting that most of these blogs are fan created. At that point it's like on here & is just a TR. I'm definitely going to finish reading it now. & just a bit silly about saying anything.

Sorry, Miss Nala. I wasn't trying to start a fire.

Yes, basically it is like a trip report. Although IMO much more than a trip report since he goes to the parks nearly every single day (jealous!) and does have access to some insider info on things. And he works really hard at being very accurate in his crowd calendars and with his touring plan recommendations. He spends a lot of time providing so much info every day, and he does it all for free, unlike some other sites. So I for one love the site and am very grateful!

OK TDC Nala, I'll stop now. And really we weren't debating anything about his style, just a quick explanation is all.

Back to the topic of Food and Wine! We will be there in 4 days!! Woot Woot!!

I purchased three entries into the
Wine Demo The Great Whiskey Debate on Nov 2.

I purchased them under my name.

I will not be one of the three people going.

Do I need to go with them to the event to make sure they get in?

Do they just have to give my name and or confirmation number?

Thanks

They ask for an ID when you're picking up the tickets (only for the person who's name is on the reservation). They did that for all 3 of our Wine Demos as well as our Sweet Sundays event.

Yep - did the same. My mom purchased and picked them up, then gave them to my friend and myself (who were actually attending). I did see them carding in the line to the actual event, but was for age only, not to match the tickets.

Thanks so much.

Can I pick them up anytime or only the day of the event?
