Biergarten or Cape May Cafe?

Trying to whittle down our dining ressies. And I'm contemplating these two. We want to try some new places, while keeping some of our favorites in there.

Also, what is your favorite breakfast?

We've done Tusker House (which we liked), Crystal Palace (ok but loved getting in the park early!) and now we are contemplating Ohana because we've always wanted to do it and never had a chance and we love Lilo and Stitch. Thoughts?

Cape May is a must do for us, my granddaughter loves crab legs. I was not wild about Biergarten, I do not care for sitting at the same table with people I do not know.

We've only done Cape May for breakfast (which we really like) and have never done Biergarten.

So ultimately I'm not much help as to which has the better food for dinner (the reviews based on food alone, appear split pretty evenly down the middle and seem to correlate more to individual taste than overall quality).

That being said, if I had to choose between the two for dinner, I'd pick Biergarten, mainly because the atmosphere just looks so much more fun and interesting (Cape May's atmoshphere, while kind of cute, is nothing to write home about).

Along those lines, on our next trip, I'm planning a dinner at Biergarten and a breakfast at Cape May.

How many people are at each table? There are 7 of us.

My family and I prefer Biergarten over both Cape May's breakfast and seafood dinner buffet.

Cape May is not bad; we just think Biergarten is better. We like the food better and the atmosphere is so much fun. We don't mind sharing a table with others and we've always had great luck having fun tablemates. It's fun to watch the kids on the dance floor and everyone has a great time.

Favorite breakfast is Tusker House.

love them both. But if I had to choose I would choose Biergarten. Here's why:

The absolute coolness of the décor in the Biergarten makes it one of a kind. I love the show they do, the dancing, etc... Cape May is honestly very plain as far as décor goes.

I like the desert options at Biergarten better.

Kind of picky I know, but I like the Glasses at Biergarten better too.

NOW Here's the one thing that Cape May has up on Biergarten. The food.

If you like Crab, sea food of anykind, you should do Cape May, because it is THAT GOOD. Biergarten has good food, but it's not on the same level.

Tables seat 8 so, unless there is a solo diner, you would most likely not share.

I agree with Pakey. We haven't loved our meals at Cape May. Seafood quality was very low and the rest was blah. Biergarten is so much fun and the food is decent.

Biergarten is so much fun, plus great food and entertainment with a live German band. We go every trip.. and would be our choice for sure.
Breakfast favorite of ours is Boma, but no characters there... if it's a must have.
Hope you have a great time!
