Dining nightmare

Well we planned a family vacation for my family and my parents. So we madew a reservation for Ohana about 6 months ago for 9 people. Well long story short it is now down to 2 people going to Ohana. I tried to make a new reservation today for only 2 and of course it is full. What if I show up to my reservation for 9 people with only 2? Thanks

I am pretty sure you can just call reservations and modify your current reservation down to two rather than trying to get a new Dessie.

If you are staying on property, have the concierge desk change your ressie. That's what I did when we had a few from our party opt out of one of our meals.

Trying to find a new reservation is difficult because 'Ohana is so popular and fully booked most of the time. If you cannot get it modified, just show up and explain that there are now only 2 of you. You won't be charged the $10 per person cc guarantee for the missing people since at least part of your group will be there. There's always a line of walk ups hoping for a table. Since your group has gotten much smaller it will free up a table for someone else.

I would definitely just have them modify the existing ADR. Then it's taken care of and you won't have to deal with it on your vacation. Just make sure the other 7 truly won't be there before you drop them from the ressie. Good luck!
