Akershus

Is there a salad bar at Akershus? Would you recommend it for 2 adults who don't really care about the characters?

It is not your topical salad bar. If you do not care for the princess I would not recommend it. I am sure that you can find a better option.

I like Akershus and find plenty of items on the salad bar--the usual greens and garnishes plus some other salads, cheese, fruits and the entrees decent. It IS, however, rife with kids due to the princesses. The character interaction is grand!! But I wouldn't go there as a couple only.

I would go to Chefs de France instead.

My wife and I have been here numerous times. I'm not a "princess" person but enjoy the food at Akershus. It isn't your typical salad bar. It's a Norwegian salad bar with Norwegian/Scandinavian food. Very good if you tend to like that type of food. I would do some research on this website or others that have dining options that show what is on the menu. We are going back in November 2013 for a breakfast for the 3rd time. We have done breakfast and lunch there. When they come around with the complimentary picture do not decline it though. It has already been paid for. My wife tried to decline it thinking it cost more money. She was kinda new to WDW at the time. Now she is a champ.
