BOG on a party night

So I was lucky to get a BOG reservation at 5pm in the first week of Oct.
But it is the night we have tickets for MNSSHP....

We have a 4 year old and a 6 month baby. We have never attended the party before.

Should we keep the reservation? Will it eat too much early party time? Do they seat you much later than reservation time?

Thanks!

The Parties don't start until 7pm. In the past WDW has allowed party guests in the park as early as 4pm. If you have an ADR at 5 you should be done well before 7.

You'll probably be fine; an in-park TS takes between 60-75 minutes. Given that your ADR is for relatively early, I would hope their still on time. However, it is possible that they run behind. I had a 7ish ADR in March and they were running an hour behind.

BOG tends to run behind schedule, but once you're seated the food is served pretty quickly. The meal takes about an hour so even if they're behind schedule you should be out by 6:30. If you're planning to do meet and greets with some of the rarer characters such as the 7 Dwarfs, the line often starts around 6:00 so you'll want to head for the line as soon as you're done with dinner.

Also, you'll probably want to check in for the party and get your wristbands and trick or treat bags before dinner. Besides the front gate, there's usually a check in station near Stich's Great Escape in Tomorrowland.
