Where to eat outside of MK before MVMCP?

DH, DD #1 (turning five on trip), DD#2 (2.5), and I are traveling to WDW Dec. 4-9. On Dec. 6 we plan on attending MVMCP. That morning/afternoon we are leaving open. Where would you recommend eating lunch? I was thinking either at another monorail resort or at DTD. I would like it to be rather filling since we want to enter MK at 4 and catch a light dinner between the festivities. Thanks for your help!

My favorite monorail restaurant has to be 'Ohana, although that might be too filling. I am always stuffed when I leave! A nice alternative is Kona Cafe, we've always enjoyed it.

Oops, never mind 'Ohana. I reread the original post and saw that you want to enter MK at 4.

DTD - I like Rainforest Cafe, Raglan Road and Paradiso 37.

Not sure what the rest of your day plans are, but since you're not doing another park, I think I'd sleep in and catch a late QS breakfast at the resort. If it's warm enough, maybe swim for a bit. Then have an ADR at Grand Floridian Café for around 2:00. You can then take some time to enjoy The Grand Floridian's Christmas decorations and the life-size gingerbread house before heading over to MK at 4:00.

Most of the restaurants have mixed reviews, but Raglan Road seems to be consistently liked.

I forgot about Grand Floridian Cafe. I've never been, but it's definitely on my list for our next trip!

I second this. We always make time to see the decorations at GF!

Arrive at MK early, and take a boat to Wilderness Lodge for a late breakfast or early lunch or Fort Wilderness for late breakfast.
