Which Stateroom with Verandah

We are going on the Fantasy in September to the Eastern Caribbean. We have decided to get a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. What are the differences in the categories (4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E)? Is it the deck level only? Which is better, an upper deck or lower? I have heard that there is less movement in the lower decks. We have stayed on the magic on a lower deck before and it was just fine.

The differences are the deck # and position on that deck (fore, aft, mid).

For the least motion, you want to be near the center of the ship vertically and horizontally.

I'll add the 4e's are smaller than the other 4's, and cannot have a murphy bed. Theses 4e's are the cabins with the large extended verandas on deck 5.

With the category 4 rooms, the difference is pretty much just the deck. All of the cat 4 rooms are more or less midship, with some more forward and others more aft.

4A: Decks 9 & 10
4B: Deck 8
4C: Deck 7
4D: Deck 6
4E: Deck 5 (As noted, these rooms are the size of cat 5 rooms with extended verandahs. Some sleep 3 ppl and some sleep 4.)

You will get differing opinions, but my preference is deck 7. It's close enough to everything that you can use the stairs to get anywhere you need to go (unless you need the elevator, of course). There are staterooms above and below, rather than public spaces. That isn't the case only with deck 7, but personally I don't see the point in paying to be on a higher deck.

Here's the deck plan for the Dream and Fantasy in the event you haven't seen it laid out this way.

Disney Dream ~ February 12-16, 2012
Disney Fantasy ~ March 23-30, 2013
Disney Dream ~ September 1-5, 2013 * Trip Report: Living the Suite Life on the Dream ~ Sept. 1-5, 2013
Disney Fantasy ~ April 19-26, 2014
