Voted for Epcot. We're staying at BCV and should be in the hotel and unpacked by 12:30pm. We'll grab lunch, hang at the pool and then we've got an ADR @ Via Napoli later that evening. It's not so much planning for crowd levels but more just easing into our vacation and time at WDW.

Magic Kingdom on the first day, always! I'm no good until I see the Castle.
Aww...no ticker for me.

Smile MK has to be first!

Once you've seen MK, it's fun to thoroughly explore the other parks. We were thrilled with AK - how different it is from the other parks!

I'm breaking my own rules because I always start with magic Kingdom first. .. but next month we are starting with Disney studios because of the crowd calendars.
Have a Disney Day!

We always start with MK regardless of crowd calendars - it's not completely "Disney" until we see the castle and smell the popcorn!

MK even if it's just to walk down Main Street and see the castle. I have to be there to feel like I'm at Disney World.

We love Epcot and we always hit that on day 2 at rope drop.

After that we do like a pp stated and alternate parks and always end our nights in either Epcot or MK every single night of the trip.

ETA: Every trip I plan out which park on which day. Last trip it was very last minute and I had a few ADR's planned and we winged it. BEST VACATION EVER! I had park hoppers so ADR's could be another park and it wasn't a big deal. It was so relaxed and different. I think for my next trip I will have a rough draft plan in case anyone wakes up debating with each other on which park to go to, I can just have final call with the rough draft.

It's tradition: Check into hotel, go to MK, get a hot dog at Casey's. After that, we go where the wind takes us.
"And it rained...and rained...and rained..... ..... ..... .... the deluge"!

We ALWAYS visit Epcot first!! It is our favorite. If someone were visiting the parks for the first time, I would suggest MK. Nothing feels the same as when you walk down Main Street and see the Castle for the first time!!

We always go to MK and ride POTC. We discuss the whole trip there that it is family tradition to ride POTC first. After that we have no schedule at all!

Had to lose nearly 60 lbs to take my daughter on the Wild Africa Trek last trip so we did AK first (so I could start eating again the rest of my vacation).

I will have to join the small minority of posters who could not vote in the poll because there was no "other" option. For us practicality wins out over sentiment. We select our park days based on the crowd calendars and stick to it for at least the first half of the trip. Since our arrival day varies from trip to trip, so does our first park.

Normally I'd pick Magic Kingdom, but for my next trip I have to be honest. I'm going to Epcot first. I kind of have to because I have a dinner reservation there shortly after I arrive
