ADR & park closing?

If an ADR at an in-park restaurant is close to park closing time, what happens at closing time? Do they kick diners out of the restaurant? Turn up the lights and start vacuuming? Or let you eat in peace?

Wondering if we could do a BOG reservation (if we get lucky enough!) at 6:30 or 6:45 on a day when MK closes at 7 for MVMCP. But don't want to chance it if it means a rushed meal.

Even if you are seated at 5 minutes until park closing they will treat you as if they had all the time in the world. At least this has been our experience. In fact, we now sometimes purposely eat close to closing just to have the park "all to ourselves" as we stroll out. Just be sure and check what time the last bus leaves!

Given that you're looking at a MVMCP night, the buses will be running when you finish eating. You will be allowed to eat at a normal pace, but be prepared to be escorted to the front of the park when you are done. On a normal night this won't happen, but on a party night they want to make sure folks without party tickets leave the park. Also, be sure to arrive at your ADR on time; after 7 pm they can refuse to check you in because the park is technically closed to non-party ticket holders.

On a normal night, they won't rush you throughout dinner, but at some point they will come around to get any last orders so that the kitchen can close. My guess is that starts to happen about 90 minutes after the park or restaurant closes. I've had some near closing time ADRs and never felt rushed by the server. I suppose physiologically you start to hurry a little as the dining room empties and you become one of the last few tables. At that point I would make an effort to finish and not linger.

Thanks! I think we'll give it a try. Of course, I know there are no guarantees, especially with BOG.

I read in another thread that your ADR would need to be 5 min before park closing. I don't know this from experience, but we are planning to do it this sept. We have an adr for CRT at 655 on a night of MNSSHP.
