Flying Dutchman

Just wondering with the Flying Dutchman at Castaway Cay, can you actually get on board it?

Sorry, but the Flying Dutchman was dismantled a couple years ago. She took a beating from the weather so it had to taken down. While she was up, you could not board.

The ship was only a movie prop so while it was great while it was there it did not hold up well over the years of weather. It has been gone about 2 years now.

If you're ever at Aulani, the Black Pearl is docked there(relatively speaking--it looked like it was in a shipyard--not on the water). I saw it during one of the outrigger tours. It's to the left of the resort, if you're looking at the beach with your back to the resort. I think the only way you can see it is from the ocean and it was a ways from the resort. I was there in 2011, so hopefully they haven't moved it.

The Pearl/Queen Annes Revenge is in St Thomas filming the next movies. It was moved by heavy lift ship late last year.

It would be cool if they could build some permanent pirate attraction on the island. Maybe a fort with a pirate themed gift store. I bet they would pay for it in no time!

One of the cast members told me there are plans to replace the Flying Dutchman.
