Interesting...i just logged into my account and went to link tickets or magicbands and by each name there are two sets of ticket numbers. i clicked on each one thinking maybe one was for KTTW and the other was for MagicBand as it had indicated you can choose. Each one said it was a ticket, not a MagicBand. Each one also has it's own ticket/serial number. we have MYW w/WPFM + Hopper.

Also, under My Reservations it lists all 5 members of our party. Under Tickets & Passes it lists only 4 members and then duplicates one of us as a 5th with the option to reassign the ticket.

I get similar...I have my profile and my two kids (as managed)...wife has her own but we are linked. I'm not sure what she shows, as I associated her AP to her before we were linked.

For my profile, I show a green card with my AP code, as well as a "KTTW" card, which matches my KTTW card from my recent trip. Both are "active", even though the KTTW card (which has no ticket entitlements) is actually expired.

For both my kids, it only shows their KTTW cards, as it appears to have dropped their AP relationships, but I did it before more recent changes to the system, so I may need to do it again.

When I say "card not in use", a second option comes up, "Card is lost". The interesting thing is that there is no distinction between the two, as it says both can be reactivated.

After deactivating, it puts an "INACTIVE" across the card image, but it is still there. I think I heard it will remember the last 5 cards used or registered in the profile.

In addition to above, I did re-register the kids APs (mine already was so I figure if there is problems we'll all have to go to guest relations anyways), and they are there now...and it NO LONGER says anything about being paperless, or having MagicBands, etc. I _think_ they got that straightened out and less frightening, but that still doesn't mean my passes will work at the entrance either.

So I STILL don't recommend it unless you find you are eligible.

I tried to link my wife's pass (I can still link them to her, although she isn't under my list), but it says it is already registered, so it is probably showing up in her profile - I'll have her check later.

while i am all on board with wanting to test out FP+, i am not on board with the IT gremlins and definitely won't be linking or prebooking FP+ without notification that we are eligible. personally i would love to test teh FP+ with 3 per day and no regulare FP but it seems unlikely we will get that opportunity this trip.

guess that will make an excuse to plan another trip soon

A MagicBand or your "admission card" is they key to the profile. Note that Disney no longer calls it a ticket - it's an "admission card", and serves the same function as a MagicBand for most purposes. The admission card may be purchased with a ticket entitlement "on" it, but when you register it, it places the ticket entitlement in your profile, and links the admission card ID to the profile as well.

Also part of your profile are resort reservations, dining reservations (ADRs), and Fastpass+ reservations. By registering a resort reservation, that _might_ enable other features, like the +10 ability on making dining reservations, and also the rumored +10 ability on FP+ reservations, within the window of the reservation.

When making FP+ reservations, it looks to your profile for eligibility, which in general (as we currently know it) is that you have a valid ticket entitlement active in your profile, with the appropriate number of days available and within the allowed range for that class of ticket (60 days for MYW and AP, unknown for others), and that you are eligible (an arbitrary flag controlled by Disney). It does not necessarily look to your reservation, except potentially for that +10 benefit...it doesn't know if the ticket you have active is the one that will be used for that reservation or perhaps an off-site stay or day trip. (Package tickets may be handled a bit differently, but I doubt it, since many people get packages and keep the tickets for later use)

For day trippers, or those that buy tickets but never establish an MDX profile, my assumption is that on entry it creates an "anonymous" profile, which allows admission and perhaps day-of FP+ use and limited kiosk use for arranging FP+ that day and maybe the next X days, but there would be no app or web access.
This whole admission card is what I don't understand. I have tickets linked to my reservation that were scanned in and matched to people. These show up under tickets, but not under electronic cards and not under the fast pass plus section of the website. It looks to me like right now unless you bought a new ticket from Disney, you can't book fast pass plus. My concern is that it also says that if you are eligible but don't book, you can't use regular fast pass later. So when I get there, and they issue me a card or band, will I be fast pass + or regular, KTTW card or new admission or band? Because if I'm the new card, then no regular fast pass, and too late to get any decent fast pass plus that fit in our schedule. As all the older MYW tickets get used up, I'm sure this won't be an issue anymore. But what about people who already have paper tickets right now? I really hope they fix this, and once you have any ticket logged, you will be able to book fast pass plus.

"Admission cards" are the RFID cards. YYou can still - at this point - use your ticket to enter the parks, get regular FPs, etc. So the tickets will work like "Admission cards", but have none of the potential additional features. You CAN, if you choose to, exchange the ticket for a card, or, if available to the general public, a MagicBand (additional charge if you aren't a resort guest, where you get them automatically unless you opt for a KTTW card instead).

If you are not eligible to use Fastpass+, you're not going to get anything under Fastpass+ right now on the site.

It remains to be seen how accurate the FAQ is with regards to "eligibility" vs. "locked-in". We actually aren't 100% sure what "eligible" means.

See that's what I'm wondering. I no longer have a paper ticket, so will they transfer my ticket to a KTTW card, an admission card, or a band? Will I have a choice which I want? Can it be transferred before I arrive, so I could book FP+ if its available?

There is just so much we still don't know. I wish this whole thing was either up and running or not going on at all. Half running is just going to create a mess I think. I know exactly how to work the old system, but that doesn't factor in this new one. How will standby lines be effected, how will FP- return times, etc.? I pretty much knew before if I got a FP at X time, it will give me a return time of Y. Makes planning easy. Now who knows!

Also, if I have no choice and am given a card or band at check in, I'm thinking it will be too late to book any of the FP I need. Yes, I know you can still book, but I highly doubt anything decent will be left, and I'm sure there's no way I'd get the exact time window I need for each ride to fit in our schedule without booking at the first opportunity.

How do you mean that you no longer have a paper ticket? Do you still have the physical ticket? Pay no attention to what the web site said.

Present the physical ticket at a ticket booth. They can give you an RFID "admission" card.

Beyond that, no one knows.

Curious as well... unlike many others here, what I dislike most so far is the idea of wearing this thing on my wrist all trip -- I don't even wear a watch - hate it!

But I'm SO TEMPTED to add our AP vouchers now that this part of the site is available!!

Who even knows what it would do since they're VOUCHERS, but still... so tempted to play with this... must resist... focus on past IT mishaps I've had...

When you upload your paper ticket a message comes up saying you are now voiding the paper ticket, and it won't work anymore. I know our tickets will still be good. I'm just thinking they will transfer them to a KTTW card or an admission card. If they transfer to an admission card at time of check in, then we would be considered FP+ eligible and couldn't use FP- anymore. But at that late date, I'm worried nothing we want will be available. This is all dependent on when the next set of testing occurs and when the whole thing goes into effect. If they just give us a KTTW card, then no worries except how testing may effect FP- return times. I'd just like to know one way or the other what is going on so I can finish planning and be done with all this.

If you are staying on site, then the resort should be able to verify your existing tickets, but you may need to present them still - and even move them to your KTTW card for you (might need to see the concierge for that).

I have a feeling it didn't actually "void" them, but I haven't heard from anyone who registered them and then tried them.

I remember similar language when I first did it (before knowing about potential problems), yet it actually shows my AP card codes as being the active media, so I have a feeling that they are fine.

But it's also why I've been recommended against registering ANY tickets/passes, unless you know you are participating.

Here's my 2sec review on the fly. They are super hot, hard, uncomfortable and 2 of the little kids refused.to.wear them after less than an hour but since they are coded by a long number on the back, I have to carry around a sheet of paper to know who's is who's.

Bottom line....annoying and not comfortable.

Maybe because we customize ours but all our names are suppose to be on them. I'm guessing you had the generic gray ones.
